I'll make this short. DON'T GO. First off the food ain't good. They don't tell the truth on what they have. Asked for a chicken quesidilla and was told they only had fried chicken while I clearly see chicken grilling. I mention this she just stares at me. I order the most horrendous sandwich. Which takes 45 minutes. I mention this she shrugs. DON'T GO. They're expensive and horrible.

Carolyn's Gourmet Cafe is a really good cafe. The food is really good. The service could use a little work. I understand at lunch time it is sometimes extremely business and I understand the wait sometimes. My issue is breakfast. I came down at 8:05am to get breakfast and it was closed. I waited another 5 minutes and then I was told there was no cashier and to come back in 20 minutes. This is the 2nd time that this has happened. There were 3 of us standing there waiting to get in.

This was supposed to be an upscale deli and I could not disagree more. The driver was rude and dressed in ripped jeans. There was no ice, no extra napkins, the tea was hot and the cups are for a small child. The cookies were raw. Some of the boxes didn't have silverware so they couldn't eat the tiny portion of pasta salad. The sandwiches were wrapped in Saran Wrap vs a nice paper wrapped sandwich. Seems that they were made the night before and they are soggy. I thought this place would be a step above Jason's deli but we were disappointed. Jason's is many steps above this place. We order catering quite a bit as a big corporation and they are crossed off the list.

If I could give less than one star I would. I work in midtown and the area has lots of options when it comes to restaurants but I chose to come here. My favorite breakfast item is a bowl of grits because they are phenomenal. I buy them as often as I can. This morning however I ordered a bowl and I was told that the manager won't let them sell it by the bowl anymore that I have to buy a cup and they would charge me the same price as the bowl for a much smaller portion. Who in their right mind would buy a cup of grits for $6.00. Since the restaurant reopened a few months ago the quality of the food and the customer service has gone down hill. I know that inflation is real but come on now.....they have proven that they do not value me or anyone else as a customer. Avoid it at all costs.

The last couple times I ate lunch there it was much better than today. I had the chicken tenders & fries (same as last time) but the tenders were a joke. Kid-size portions today when last time they were each twice the length. And they were overcooked. If I didn't have honey mustard to dip them in, I don't think I would have been able to eat them. The fries were good though & they give you a lot. For $10.50, you need to offer adult-size chicken tenders. I wish I had taken a picture. Despite this, I will return since I work nearby. I will for sure never get the tenders again. I think a quesadilla or a sandwich would be a safer bet. Although my coworker got a chicken quesadilla today & said the chicken was dry. Too many places lately have decreased their portions & jacked up their prices. Do one or the other, but not both.

I'm giving 5 stars for a catering delivery driver I believe she said her name was Serena. She had a pleasant smile and great personality. She was here on time and didn't leave until she was sure I was ok with my order. I told her I when I order from Carolyn's that I want her to be my delivery person. The food presentation was beautifully put together and taste great, I will definitely be getting future catering orders with Carolyn's. Thanks.

At my job I am responsible for placing catering orders. Carolyn's is one of our regulars for downtown Atlanta. We never have an issue and the Catering Manager, Crystal, is a dream to work with! Last week, I got to have a personal lunch ordered so I chose the chicken tenders and fries - they were wonderful! Today, after being bogged down in a meeting for over 2 hours I decided to order the burger and fries. BEST DECISION EVER! My burger was cooked to order, big, fully loaded with toppings and messy; just the way a good burger should be! The meat was flavorful and moist. The crinkle fries were crispy on the outside, tender and hot on the inside. I don't know what type of seasoning they sprinkle on the fries but I want a box to take home!Long story short, I can speak from both sides of the table. Reach out to the Carolyn's crew and have your next breakfast or lunch at the office catered. They do snacks, and dip trays too! Or, the next time you are pounding the pavement wondering where to go, head on over to 1201 W Peachtree, One Atlantic Center, take the escalator downstairs and walk right in to Carolyn's!

I would give 0 stars if that was an option…DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use Carolyn’s for catering. I had a very important meeting today and spent over $600 on lunch ordered from Carolyn’s. The order was 30 mins late. When I called to speak with them, they told me I was wrong, didn’t offer any kind of resolution and were incredibly rude on the phone. Take your business elsewhere!!
