Now listen, this IS NOT A BURGER SPOT!This is a butcher shop and bakery that sells a limited amount of burgers (and you can only purchase 3 per person) at 1pm on Sundays. There will be a line outside and everyone is happy to be in line! This is a neighborhood treasure so please treat them with care because they are lovely people! Now with all that being said, this burger is AMAZING! No, you can not modify the burger in anyway, you have to eat it the way it is and trust me, you want it that way! They also have amazing pastries ( try a chocolate chip cookie!) it’s a double cheeseburger with pickles and onions and the burger is large!I do not like pickles or onions and I ate this burger in its ENTIRETY! Remember to be nice and kind of you ever stop by, they are working really hard in there and they are very pleasant! I wish I could share a photo of the burger but it never stood a chance! I ate it in the car before I pulled off!!

I drove into Atlanta from about 40 min away to buy good sourdough bread. Evergreen did not disappoint! I arrived at about 9:00 a.m. and there was a steady stream of customers. I was able to find what I wanted, plus a little more beside. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very patient as I slowly selected my choices with the wonder of a kid in a candy shop.At home, I immediately tried the miche loaf. Ahhh. Yes. Finally. Delish.Next time, I will come with more knowledge of what is available, and I will probably get there earlier. I only bought two pastries today because that had not been part of my agenda, but next time, I will probably buy a greater variety. They are delicious.

Bakery, excellent! Butchery, excellent! I took home two cuts of wagu and Sam recommended I blanket the cut with their Smoked Sea Salt by Superior Crack Seasonings and I’m soooo glad I did! It comes in a big bottle with grinder so I now put it on everything! Thanks Sam and

This place is AMAZING! The quality of the food is outstanding and the service is top tier. Shout out to Amber, Raquel, Eli, and Sam for impeccable customer service. I LOVE their cheesy chorizo danish, sausage roll, chocolate chip cookie.... and burger obviously lol. The establishment also does a really great job of staying true to the vibe of the community and respecting their neighbors. 11/10 would recommend!

Went to see what the hype was all about for their Sunday Burgers. They serve the burgers around 1PM, but the pastries are phenomenal! We ended up snacking on a few while we waited (first) in line - started around noon and went down the street. The burger buns were fresh, the beef patties were juicy, and the condiments were simple and filled with umami. You can tell they put a lot of care into making their foods and serving their customers.

Best croissant in the city hands down. I come every Sunday!! The workers here are all amazing and incredibly hard working. They are not messing around. Quality and consistency is always 10/10 and service is amazing.

Always fantastic, but this time I tried a little triangle pastry filled with duck and pork (can’t remember the name), and it may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten!

Love the baked goods here! It's nice that they also have bread loafs for sale by the halves and quarters. I just wish they had a little seating area because it's so hard to wait to get home to dig in!

Evergreen is, without a doubt, my favorite thing about living in this area. If they ever close or move I’ll cry my eyes out & move too. The sesame nougatine(?) cookies are the best things ever. Every pastry is amazing, the sandwiches are my favorite lunches, the burgers (Sundays 1pm!) are the best I’ve ever had, I love grabbing some homemade jam or caramel…I can’t say enough good things about everything they do. Thank you for being in Kirkwood!

This place is just great. The bread is out of control. I live for the pastry. The meat is truly special. I’m honestly so sad on Monday and Tuesday when I need a little treat for moral and they’re closed. Anyway. 10/10. (The Sunday burger is good but like, I’m really in it for the fries and they don’t have them)Vegetarian options: It’s bread.Parking: They have like 6 spots they share with Arden’s Garden. They’re usually available during the week and jammed on weekends and holidays.Kid-friendliness: It’s Kirkwood. The park slope of Atlanta. Bring your kids.

Evergreen decided to hop in my DM’s with this snarky message (see photos section for DM screenshot) when I commented on one of their Instagram posts telling people to get there early if they wanted a shot at getting a cheeseburger on Sundays. Two weeks earlier, I had waited for 45 minutes in the rain only to NOT receive a burger, nor did a few people in front of me or anyone behind me. A number of people responded to my comment with their own poor experiences, asking Evergreen to adjust their business model around cheeseburger Sunday (I.e. make more than 150 burgers or lower the per person limit). Evergreen went back and forth with the people in the comment thread with more rude remarks, and ultimately decided I was the problem as my comment started it all. Again, all I did was advise people to show up earlier and agree that the business model around cheeseburger Sunday should be reconsidered. Now not only will I not be returning to stand in line for another 45 minutes only to NOT receive a burger, but I wouldn’t dream of supporting a business this unprofessional that can’t take customer feedback or constructive criticism—all a part of being a business owner.
