Chilly vibe, overhyped/priced menu, tight seating, and a weirdly placed planter hung right at face level, in front of the door. The dead eyed cashier got my order wrong twice out of the three times I've been here. And what's with the broken down cart out front? The fish is undeniably fresh but isn't that the bare freaking minimum expectation here?! A dozen better choices within a stones throw. Pass.

Don't waste your money!! $32 for a lobster roll that fit in the palm of my hand with very little meat.. Then the balls to add gratuity to the check.. gtfoh. I decide how much to leave for a tip, NOT YOU!!

Not a big seafood person but I really like the blackened grouper. My favorite is the hot fish sandwich though. The perfect crunch on both. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back.

Amazing fish spot. My wife and I had Blackened grouper, ceviche, and tuna tartare, and every dish was one of the best we had ever had. Tight, intimate setting. Excellent for a relaxed but high quality date night.I've also picked up fish from there to cook for dinner at home and it was incredible. Very high quality.

Their gumbo paired with sourdough bread is delicious. I came here twice while I was in town.

Very Good Seafood, but a Tad HypedSetup -- been wanting to try this for quite some time now. Had a fun ATL adventure planned and this was first on the list. Heard rave reviews from many on how good the good was and it recently received a Michelin Bib Gourmand.Food -- had hard time deciding between the blackened grouper sandwich and the lobster roll. Tough call, but went with grouper to split, as it was something they were well known for in reviews. The grouper sandwich was blackened and cooked very well. The sandwich was good and tasty for sure. It has lettuce, tomato, and sauce and came with a pickle.Sandwich was very good. Could've used a little more sauce and it lacked just a touch of flavor. The homemade hot sauce bottles added a needed jolt to the mix. Again, very very good, just not otherworldly. Got a half dozen oysters and they were pretty good for the price ($18). Some were definitely on the small side, but better then some we've had considering the price (Grand Central Oyster to name one).Oysters came pretty basic with cocktail sauce and vinegar mix. No horseradish or crackers I'd you want (no longer need them, going straight from the shell, but didn't seem available if you would). Definitely clean with no grit and the hot sauce matched with them extremely well. The hot sauce seems to be a local mix and was excellent. Also ordered a side of gumbo. Gumbo was good. Definitely on traditional side and had some good flavor to it. It certainly had a strong flavor profile (almost like an Indian food spice) that dominated much of it. Very soupy in nature and when I added a shot of hot sauce on the spoon directly, it made it much more tasty. The bread was a perfect match to dip in the gumbo. Very strong gumbo, but not the best I've had (even outside New Orleans).Drinks -- if you're looking to grab a beer to wash down the seafood with, you're out of luck. Was expecting even a basic selection, but only soda and sparking water cans.Scene/Vibe -- it was a cold day and it was freezing inside. I get the concept of it, giving the real authenticity of a fish spot right off the boat, but it was hard to enjoy the food it was so cold. Also, when you see limited space in reviews, thats an understatement. There are literally 9 chairs available. Luckily we had a spot, but the space does not lend itself to dining in.Service -- counter service and they bring your food out to you. Friendly and prompt.Value -- like most everything else these days, a little on pricey side. Split a sandwich, side of gumbo, and 6 oysters came to $55. If you take away the oysters, it would not have been that bad, but still not cheap, especially for the taste by comparison.Summary -- I'll certainly own my bias on this one. I've heard and read about this spot for a long time and seen nothing short of amazing from reviews and word of mouth, so I had high expectations (probably too high). The food was very good, but not heavenly and some of that is on me for pushing up too much hype perhaps.Very good food, but a touch on the hyped side.

I had an oyster craving and heard a lot of great things about this place! Location and Parking Located in VA Highlands, there is free parking behind the restaurant. Venue and Atmosphere Unlike the other locations, there is not table service. It's more of a grab and go place with minimal seating. Still, the seating is adequate and the restaurant is very clean. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Food and Beverages The oysters definitely fulfilled my craving. They were salty but the sweet vinaigrette provided balanced the flavors really well. I also ordered the Caesar salad with a side of blackened grouper. The fish was exceptionally seasoned and the house made dressing was tasty. They also put a decent amount of dressing the salads, which most places don't. I appreciated the fact that I didn't need to ask for extra dressing. Verdict If I have another quick oyster craving, I know where to go!

Got the lobster roll and the grouper. Former was tasty but was absolutely minuscule with barely any lobster in it. For $28 they can do better. Grouper was delicious and better value.

Waiter out in an extra tip when we already had a 20% service charge with the party. Never will eat again! Lobster roll dry but when added butter was ok but not for $32.00. Not recommended with any fraud and waiters being able to change tip amount!

I saw this place in the internet and it says that it’s one of the best in ATL, and I decided to go have some of their foods. The guy who took my order was not friendly and answered to my question. Sandwiches were not good. The place looked like a fish market, but less lively vibes. My experience turned out not that good as I saw on the internet.

This small chain creates the absolute best American style seafood dishes in Atlanta. Never had anything but amazing food at 2 of their locations. Felt compelled to write a review as someone wrote they did not like "smelly people" walking past them on the street as they ate, and gave 2 stars. I think that was a very unfair criticism. Homelessness is an epidemic in all US cities these days and nothing that any in-town restaurant with sidewalk tables can do about that. Freshest seafood in Atlanta.
