Very clean and cozy place. I think they have the best steaks in the southeastern United States. Not sure what they put on them but it’s incredible. The staff is super nice. Call ahead cause they stay packed. It’s nothing to see somebody famous in there just about any night. One night when we were there J Foxx was playing the piano. Try the place, you won’t be disappointed.

The food was amazing, the service was excellent, but the atmosphere was dark and smoky. I understand the people like that and it’s a big draw to the establishments long history. I personally had a tough time navigating my way through the restaurant it was so dark.

This was my second time dining with Hal’s and it was nothing short of an exceptional experience. It was my best friend’s birthday and we had the pleasure of having Adam as our server. He was such a delight, he was energetic, he was accommodating. The food is phenomenal, but Adam’s attentiveness made her birthday and our dinner that much better! The General Manager was also very very kind. Thank you so much!!

Sorry I didn't take pics. I was here on a work related dinner. But I wanted to give a review anyway. The bread was to die for. Might not be the best choice of words since it was toasted and LOADED with butter. But so so good. You probably really won't die if you don't make it a nightly event Followed by one of the best chopped salads I've ever had. Finely chopped, small pits of celery to give it a crunch, and loaded with the dressing of your choice. Paired with the bread, an amazing experience. But again, the health factor? Well, you only live once... I had the 12 Oz. Filet. Very thick, yet somehow cooked to perfection. Salt and pepper crust, probably butter (again). The best example of why I love fillet mignon. Tender, flavorful, hard to stop eating. I took half home in a doggy bag. Perfectly baked Mac 'n cheese as a side. Toasty top. Perfect. But remember, I had the salad, so don't judge me. The house old fashions were strong and not too sweet. 8 of 10 stars. The service couldn't be better. If I was forced to complain about anything, it would have to be the lighting. It was just a little darker than I'd like. BTW, my co- worker had the 20 Oz. Bone in rib-eye. He ate the whole thing. He looked me in the eye with a small tear and a curious blend of delight and misery. He said he was way too full, but he couldn't stop eating it. LOL. I guess it was pretty good too! Steaks average $70, but when you consider they are big enough for two people or one meal and a generous doggy bag, I don't think it's over priced. Go here. Just run a mile or two the next day!

I was truly impressed by the food here. Hal's The Steakhouse has dim lighting so be prepared to use your phone light. The wait staff is very knowledgeable, and there are quite a few specials off of the menu. First, the garlic bread is the best! It melts in your mouth. I had the 16oz bone-in filet with creamed spinach. I also shared a wedge salad with a friend. The steak was tender with a char and very juicy! I highly recommend getting a steak! I will definitely be back to Hal's when I return to Atlanta.

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent upscale meal at Hal's. Our server, Miguel, was attentive but not over bearing. The food was perfectly cooked and it was a great way to end a busy work day.

I would recommend to everyone. Steaks are cooked to perfection. All sides we shared were as good as the steak which is very rare. Place is a lot of fun. Staff is as good as ot gets.

The staff are extremely incompetent so if you are planning a party that cannot be reserved online, don’t waste your time. I had planned a special dinner, called and made a reservation weeks ago, left all my contact info with the host as well and was assured we were all set to go and the day of the dinner am told it doesn’t exist. That is completely unacceptable. Disappointed is an understatement. I probably should have confirmed the reservation earlier myself but trusted the host… that was my first mistake. Food is only as good as the service, and the service was despicable.
