One of, if not the best breakfast I've had in a while. The biscuits were fantastic. Took a little while but was delicious. We visited from out of town and just happened into this place for coffee.

I this was my first time here. They gave so many beautiful, decadent looking treats. I got four. They were all immensely dry, the cream cheese on the cupcakes were dry and cracked, and the red velvet cupcake ( which I looked forward to most) tasted like it has been refrigerated without being covered. After three treats, I didn’t bother to try to carrot cake cupcake. However the staff at the bakery are friendly, prompt and warm.I sat to dine in and my order was taken immediately. The chai latte was delicious! Honestly the best I’ve ever had! I wish the avocado toast was actually toasted instead of just soft bread. The peppers were a nice touch. However after I finished eating they cleared the table, but left me and the table next to me sitting for about an hr (roughly 10:40-11:32) without anymore acknowledgement. We all had to ask for our checks and when it was time to pay mine they couldn’t pull it up in the system which left me waiting a bit more as a few people worked together to figure out. I paid and asked for a receipt, then they had to figure that out so I just left very annoyed. I was hoping to make this a new spot.

This place is the BEST. I've ordered delivery from them a couple times. First time, driver said they weren't signed into the restaurant's app, so the delivery was late. other times, it was a little late with the driver waiting a while. All good by me. I will wait through hell and high water for the biscuits here.

I must say that this place is consistent with their great experience. I still feel relatively new to Atlanta even though I've been here since February 2022. I always request for the same awesome waitress who knows and understands my very picky side. She is truly an amazing young lady who treats customers exceptionally well. Make sure you request for Carrie the waitress with the smile of an angel. Thanks Highland for being so awesome.Maya D.

I don’t even do reviews. But OMG!!! This place is fantastic. The shrimp and grits are amazing. PLEASE try the sweet potato biscuit it's very flavorful, and it’s made from scratch also. This will be a spot I bring guess from out of town.

Super laid back atmosphere and amazing music playing every time I go. The staff is so easy to talk to and unbelievably personable. The shrimp and grits, blueberry crumble cake, sweet potato pancakes, and ultimate chicken sandwich are so amazing. And the coffee KICKS!

Really tasty breakfast every time I come. The baked goods are also awesome, huge fan of the cupcakes. Nice servers and prices are pretty fair. I’ve visited several times and will continue to come back for the biscuits and gravy or a nice cocktail.

Stopped by the Highland Bakery on our last day in Atlanta. We ordered a ham & cheese croissant, full order of French toast and a decaf coffee. French toast was good but at $15 it was pretty expensive. My latte was disappointing and tasted like drip coffee. Croissant was pretty good and filling.

Frequent customer over the years however, portion sizes have shrunk and the servers are always overwhelmed. The food is great and the servers are pleasant and friendly but they can’t keep up with customer requests. My food arrived before my coffee drink from the bar. The fried chicken sandwich was amazing but it is half the size of a sandwich that you’d get somewhere else. The bag of chips took up more space on the plate than the sandwich. Stick with the French toast and come during the week for a better experience.

I’ve been coming here for many years…unfortunately the service suffers. I ordered a menu item that came with cream cheese BUT I had to ask for it (didn’t come with my order). I asked for a small “saucer” from 2 staff persons and was told 3 times (by 3 different staff members) they did not have a small plate or saucer . ( My plate was overloaded with lettuce do I ended up getting napkins (on my own - not from the waitress) to put my bagel on. The customers at another table did get bread on a small “saucer”. The assigned waitress walked by over & over, to another table, without ever asking if I needed anything. This was a place I’ve come to often to enjoy a good meal, read, and relax. SAD TO SEE SERVICE GONE DOWN. Food was decent-not great.

We ordered a custom cake for a baby shower. On the way home from the bakery, the cake collapsed in on itself while being held in the passenger’s lap. We have made numerous attempts to contact management and ownership about the cake and have been completely avoided. The cake was extremely expensive, and this is completely unacceptable.

My wife and I heard about this place and we like to try new establishments. So, we made the drive to give it a try. Pro’s: Up and coming neighborhood. Lot’s of positive growth and financial opportunities abound/ gentrification (good or bad). Con’s: 1. No designated parking. There is public parking on the street, in front of the restaurant and first come first serve. 2. The exterior decor still has the abandoned- building appearance. We were actually reluctant to get out of the car! 3. The lack of decor continues upon entering the restaurant. It doesn’t have a restaurant/ bakery appeal at all! It feels like walking into a warehouse that just so happens to have a cashier, and cash register. 4. It’s weird to have to pay for my food before being offered a seat. This was our first time visiting and we had to stand at the register, review a paper menu and make a decision, and pay before we could be seated! 5. We ordered custom omelets and a cinnamon roll! The egg on the omelette was over cooked and slightly crispy! The veggies inside the omelette were probably frozen (the spinach was definitely frozen) and dumped into the middle of the egg sandwich. Lastly, how can a place call themselves a “bakery” and serve stale pastries! The cinnamon roll was old, and hard, then they dumped some type of syrup on top of it! It was the worst! We have absolutely no reason to ever return! Any breakfast chain restaurants food, ambiance and service will easily surpass this place.

The counter service bakery was pretty good, and the service was friendly. No complaints really, just nothing super special. If you want a place to get something quick to eat and anm classic coffee out of a machine older than the person working the register, this is a great option.
