The burger is in my top 5, maybe top 2. The bread is wonderfully flavorful and crusty, which isn’t for everyone, but I enjoyed. Their take on an old fashioned is great, would

Atmosphere is nice and the bar area has a good vibe but the food is way overpriced. $24 for a cheeseburger? $26 for a salad with rather bland roasted chicken? A little ridiculous. Add to that the hostess was not friendly and not willing to sit us at a booth when two were open the entire time (an hour) we were there. And three other booths opened as well. Rudeness makes for not returning customers. And how about adding another bathroom so the wait time is less? Only real positive was the waitress’s good attitude. Not returning.

If you want to be nickel and dimed this is the place for you! They up charge on everything. Make sure you google all the words on the menu. You just might think you are ordering a chicken entree but you are actually ordering a version of a chick fil a salad. There is a reason why they aren’t full on a Saturday night.

Those is a great place to eat. It has a wine bar set up, slightly dem lighting, and the service was excellent. I asked the bartender is they had lemonade and she stated they could make. And I'll be...she made me lemonade from freshly squeezed lemons. It was lovely. I had the cheese burger and added bacon, lettuce and tomatoes to it. It was delicious. You could taste the quality of the meat. That with their signature ketchup on the burger made me a fan for life.

Diner

We love this place but brunch was a bust. Server wasn't familiar with the menu. We ordered cocktails first. Later we ordered food. Cocktails showed up as we were finishing our food. The place was dead so maybe go for dinner and skip brunch.

Upon arrival on Friday evening, we found the restaurant bustling with diners. Despite not having reservations, we were informed of an hour wait. Opting to explore other options, we decided to test our luck at the bar. To our delight, the attentive General Manager went out of his way to accommodate us promptly. We indulged in a selection of appetizers and their renowned signature burger. The cocktails were impeccably crafted, and the cuisine showcased creativity and flavor. Overall, our experience was nothing short of delightful.

Cocktails were spectacular (and direly needed, because traffic was crappy and we were late and stressed). Everything we ate (bread and butter, welsh rabbit, steak, panzanella salad) was really good too. We'd been trying to schedule a visit for awhile and we won't wait so long next time.

There were only 6 entrees choices - 2 of them were spaghetti and a cheeseburger - surprising for a LH restaurant. The shrimp & grits were good, but more choices and more healthy options would be better. The veggie plate had creamed and fried items, which defeats the purpose of trying to eat a healthy veggie plate. So, don't go on a Sunday night. The service was excellent.

We are frequent customers of H&F and almost always enjoy the food and dessert. Burgers and sticky toffee are our go-tos. This past dining experience was less than enjoyable due to the dessert and waitresses attitude about it. We rarely ever complain but the sticky toffee was doughy, as if it wasn't cooked all the way through, and was barely edible. When we addressed this with the waitress she stated, “oh, that's how it is-they cook it and then rewarm it just before serving and placing the toffee sauce on top.” I again (pleasantly)said well it's not how we've had it in the past and it seems raw. She just quickly said it's not raw and walked away. Now, let me remind you, we've eaten there SEVERAL times and the sticky toffee was never served this way before. We were shocked the waitress walked away and did nothing to rectify this—didn't remove it from the check, didn't apologize, nothing. Extremely disappointed with her lack of customer service.

Overall, good food and great atmosphere. The value was okay. Being a southerner, the pimento cheese was underwhelming. It's more of a cheese spread than a pimento cheese. While their blackened flounder was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the garnish had to be removed as it ruined the flavor. That said, I'd still return to try something else on the menu.

Came here tonight for the first time and ordered the skillet beefsteak. The food took a long time to come. When it did come, the portion size of the beefsteak was minuscule compared to the price paid (had to be no more than one ounce of meat), the meat was room temperature and not hot when it came to me, and the sauce left something to be desired and felt unfinished. In all, a very unsatisfying meal, and I did not feel the price justified the portion size nor quality. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, and the staff are attentive and nice. They also validate parking for two hours. The bathroom that is out of order needs to be fixed, the working bathroom needs to be cleaned, and there needs to be paper towels or a dryer in there. I had to use toilet tissue to dry my hands. There is definitely room for improvement here and I only hope they will take this feedback into serious consideration so as not to turn away customers.
