Located inside of Krog Street Market, Hop City Craft Beer and Wine offers a bar setup and wine/beer shop all in one. I skipped over Hop City my first few visits to KSM before I moved to ATL but just had to check the store out after seeing all of the goods they had peering at me from the window. The wine/beer shop is actually pretty spacious and offers an insane amount of options. If you're looking for variety - this is where you need to be. I love a great craft beer and a fabulous bottle of wine, and I now know that I can always get those here. There are aisles and refrigerators full of craft beer from all over, IPAs, ciders, domestic, international - all of the above. The wine selection is just as impressive! The shop is never super crowded and it seems as though the team works the bar and the cash register at once, so you may wait a little second for assistance, but you get it! I was greeted and checked out with a friendly smile and didn't cringe at the bill for my handpicked selection of drinks. Definitely a fave for me when shopping for a bottle/can of something special!

Would give them 6 stars if I could. We like to order from one of the many food vendors at krog, then grab a spot at the bar. Love getting to try beers on tap before buying a 6 pack. The only challenge is their infinite

Always a great experience here, one of the bartenders was really sweet and recommended us the drinks based on our palette.

If ever there was a specific beer you were looking for, it probably lives at Hop City…This place is so fun!! It’s like a grown up field trip for beer lovers. So many options- SO MANY!! And the staff was phenomenal! My help came from Emily and I can’t say enough about how fantastic she was. She was fun, informative, educating, and spot on with her choices for us. I had so much fun here and I will be back!P.S. there is a bar out front where you can purchase cold drafts of [some] the options they have in the shop.

Bartender wouldn’t take my card when I ordered, then accused me of theft when I took my drink to a nearby table where my friends were. Drink was so-so. Not worth it.

Helpful, friendly staff and A TON of specialty beer / craft brew and cider options, even some stuff I had been trying to find for maybe 9 months. I got a lot of my holiday shopping done here, both for gifts and dinner party/event beverages. So much to choose from & well organized.

After coming here 100s of times and ordering 100s of beers, I ask for a plastic cup to give water to my 2-year old daughter. The market’s complimentary cups were out. The green-haired bartender rudely informed that it would be an extra charge if I didn’t buy anything. Forget the 100s of beers I’ve bought from there before. Oh well, they’ve gotten the last dollar they’ll get from me. There are too many other good bar and brewery options to choose a place like this with poor customer service.

A friend and I were drawn in by the dunkin brew. Definitely a great psl beer! I love how vast their menu was and the bartenders were super friendly. The location was casual and lose to server Al food options!

Great atmosphere and better drinks. Exceptional service, my drink was never empty. Eileen took care of me. I probably botched up the spelling of her name.

A year ago we went to the one in Birmingham and I didn't think it possible to have even more beer! We buy singles in every place we visit and this one had so many options. If you're looking to venture out in your beer tasting, this is the place to go.

Excellent place to stock up on cans and bottles of beer and wine. We are from out of town and found a lot of beer we'd never had.

We stopped in looking for some beers to bring back to our Airbnb to enjoy. This location had so many options it was hard to narrow down what we should take before it all looked so good! They had great local options as well as international. We ended up by 3 6 packs because we couldn't make up our minds. All the beers were tasty. The gentleman at the register was nice and rang us up quickly. A great location and not too pricey.

Visiting from out of town, I was looking for a place that had a nice spread of local beer. I found it here in spades! With a cool industrial vibe inside the open-concept Krog Market, it's a perfect BYOF spot. DZ was an awesome bartender. Very knowledgeable of Atlanta, offered great conversation, and piled on recommendations for the area! Couldn't have had a better time. Cheers!

Hop City (inside Krog Street Market) is probably the best beer store in the city. This bar and store secure some extremely hard to get beer and these days that is pretty much my metric for 5 stars. A lot of breweries and especially in Georgia have upped their game. As they say a rising tide lifts all boats and the tide happens to be more lenient alcohol laws for the state. The good news is impressive finds can easily be found in local grocery stores but even this treasure can quickly fatigue the palate after repeated weekend visits. Here is where Hop City shines with their large selection and beers that are special release or hardly seen outside the physical brewery. The bar is also fun with a great variety to choose from depending on your mood and atmosphere cant be beat with all the energy in the market.
