Went for a birthday celebration. No special acknowledge of the event. Waiter was fine but felt rushed. The entrees came out before we were even halfway thru our salads. Food was ok but certainly not a good value. Other places have comped a dessert etc for the occasion. Not saying I'll never go back but it really did not come close to meeting expectations.

Another great visit to the "D". Arrived a tad early and were told that a table fitting my preferences ( I have table preferences :) )would be opening up soon or we could take one available. We chose not to wait. Greeted promptly and drink orders taken. The missus had a very dirty martini, just the way she ordered it, and I had a very well prepared old fashioned. Food was wonderful as always. My daughter had the filet steak salad. She loved it. My wife got the shopped steak and baked potato, a great value if you ask me at 16 ounces of beef. I had the prime rib. All delicious. Service was wonderful. Cannot remember the name of the young lady that waited on us and it was not on the ticket, but she had a marvelous personality and was attentive through the evening. Finished the meal off by sharing three ways one of those big sundaes. Thanks again to the management and staff here for continuing to strive to deliver great food and service.

Another 5-star experience just like every other time, and I frequent Joey D's once a week on average! The food was outstanding as usual! And we were able to celebrate my brothers birthday in style, finishing the meal off with the hot brownie & ice cream, easily one of my favorite desserts in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area! Thank you for always delivering the best of everything!

I was honored to be able to meet Ryan's son, Mic, he is a chip off the block and his wife, the family is an outstanding example of love. The food, calamari, wings & bay crab dip were okay. Seems like the calamari portions are getting smaller. The drinks were good as always. The server, Loren, was new. He was very attentive, but couldn't find some of the menu and drinks on the handheld. He'll get better. Overall, it was okay.

Monday I met a friend and colleague, Gary Buechler for lunch at Joey D's Oak Room. It wasn't too busy so we got a table down at the end I like instead of sitting at the bar. I had the chopped steak, and took a page from Rob Augustine's book and had the sautéed mushrooms instead of the onions and gravy. A bowl of that wonderful potato salad as my side. I wanted the baked potato soup instead of salad, but was told I could substitute soup for salad, so opted for the house salad which is never a bad choice. Food was excellent as always. Gary on the other hand had a bowl of she crab soup and a side of potato salad, and for a minute I wondered, almost out loud, as to why he would come to the "D" and eat lite like that. But he picked up lunch so in that vein he could eat anything he liked ? Ryan Morris came over and said hello and chatted with us a bit. Ryan is the quintessential operator. He's out front. He works the food line. He is possibly the most dapper man I know. If I ever win the lottery and have oodles of money to pour into a restaurant, Ryan is my first round draft pick.

Came here for a birthday dinner and was not disappointed! Has a reservation and we were seated right away despite people waiting. The service was outstanding and the food was yummy!

Not the best service this time. Meal took 55 minutes but waiting and resolving the bill situation took over an hour. Please improve your hiring practices or training programs. Some of your current staff should not be allowed to serve or be in a good service industry. Totally beyond their abilities. I will not return anytime soon.

The look and feel were of a high-end quality restaurant. The Service was outstanding. The pace of food delivery was right on time. No real waiting for anything. The Waiter had very good recommendations and he validated our sections. The Waiter knew the menu inside and out along with the drink selections. The food taste was amazing. The portions were very fair for the cost. I have recommended this restaurant to my friends and coworkers already.
Very enjoyable dinner. We had the filet mignon and the BBQ ribs. Each came with a choice of salads (house is excellent) and a side item. Portions were ample and tasty. Our server was top notch - good recommendations, attentive, but not overbearing and we weren't rushed. We will return

We've always loved Joey D's because the food is excellent but last night not only was the food excellent but also the service. My mom, 1 year old, and I dined there last night and Rahsaan was so kind with my daughter and to all of us. He is a wonderful waiter and we would happily go back and sit in his section every time. If you're on the fence go to this restaurant and get the honey croissants.

Service was terrible. Our server we had to wait on several times. He asked if he could bring some water. He did. Then he said oh do you want anything else to drink? We did. I wanted a glass of wine with dinner and never was able to get one since by the time he came to our table we were almost done with dinner. Food was ok. Salad was the best thing. Steak was good but did not have a lot of seasoning. Bake Potato was cool when It came. Seems like the toppings were put on after it had been sliced for a few minutes. Cheese never melted. This use to be one of my husbands and mine favorite place to eat 25 years ago and we thought it would have been nice to go back for our son's 24th birthday. We probably won't be back. I felt like the whole time the server kept taking our plates when we were done to try and turn the table quick. We had appetizers, and there was a little bit of calamari left on the table and he came in and swooped it up without asking if he could take the plate. I did not bother to say anything.

We made a reservation, so we did not have to wait. Food was very good. I did have to send my steak back but it came out perfect the second time. Jake our waiter was very attentive and cheese and brownie dessert was to die for. My husband and I had a good a time.
