I love shopping at Kroger over all the other grocers because I feel they have the best value and convenience. It's absolutely one of my favorite retail chains! That said, THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST Kroger in the state of Georgia. It is just not worth your health coming here AT ALL!I implore everyone to seriously think twice about how much you value your sanity and life before deciding to shop here.Extremely rude employees with a heavy dash of Shanaynay attitude - I needed help at self-checkout getting an item's price corrected to the current advertised sale price, the female employee that did it begrudgingly told me that she'll make the correction as a one-time favor/courtesy to me.Uhmmm GIRL! Don't just take my word for it nor do me any favors..... you're welcome to crawl your lazy fat a** to the aisle and verify them for yourself if there are any doubts about your CUSTOMERS!Also, won't it help the store overall to catch and update this mistake in the store's system? I guess showing initiation is a skillset that is just not in their forte or the company's training.....Nope! I was told that I was being "SMART' with her instead and should just go/move on. REALLY??!!Then this much bigger guy waiting in line after me decided to jump in the midst of all this to tell me to leave the store and threatened to beat me up.So basically I was being ganged up on at this point.Oh! I was so triggered and ready to take on that nosey piece of turd where I invited & waited for him to throw the first punch before reacting to defend and let myself loose on him. Alas, all he did was stand there verbally berating and staring down at me - some BIG F'N PUSS energy right there!Nelson, the store manager came over right after all the escalation, we walked over to the item's aisle and showed him the sale price. I also explained the whole situation with him.He said he'll "speak" with the employee.Good luck with that, proper training and intensive attitude adjustment may help.Unfortunately, this traumatizing experience will be the last of mine ever stepping into this abysmally sad and dangerous establishment.CAVEAT EMPTOR: GET STRESSED & BE READY TO GET JUMPED AT IF YOU SHOP HERE

Worst Kroger manager I have seen this location real needs a change of manager especially if your read the other comments, she close the store earlier than posted hours, if the store is going to close at an earlier time the should post those hours and stick to them. I can all the way from the other Kroger on Cascade Rd. Because they were sold out if what I was trying to purchase and drove all the way here to make it before the closed to just be refused to be let in 11 mins. Before store closing time, I also explained to the manger how I just came from the other Kroger and just needed to grab 1 thing and she did not care I also told he I was going to put in a complaint with the corporate office as well as bad reviews online and she told me to go ahead. She could care less about her store getting bad reviews or corporate complaints against her. If she dose not like her job this much and dealing with customers and abiding by the set hours she should quit or the corporate so replace her.

Abysmal. Great quality produce. Great prices. The lines to pay would never ever happen in a different neighborhood. The lines go to the back of the Kroger. Unreal. Can't even blame the employees. This is done on purpose to continue to underserved the neighborhood.

I'll just say that there are a lot of different people that come here now. I hate this location now. It was better before Covid and before the two Walmarts were closed down. There are always long lines now.I plan to go to Publix more. It's definitely worth the drive.

This is the worst Kroger I've been too. For weeks now, the lines stretch to the back of the store and they close more lanes than necessary. I shouldn't have to wait 40 minutes to check out.

Honestly, in the fine Atlanta tradition of giving Kroger's nicknames, we have called this one Chaos Kroger for years now. You never know what your experience will be. Glass six pack of sodas exploded in the freezer section? A half-eaten basket of strawberries on a stack of fully thawed pizzas by the TP? A full on screaming and throwing stuff meltdown/fight in the checkout lines? That strange unforgiving odor in the cereal aisle... Maybe some open tubs of potato salad in the deli cooler, or a bin of condiment bottles well over a year past their exp date. To be fair, we don't think it's irredeemable. Not at all, just unpredictable. I have met so many wonderful people at this store. Caring, compassionate people who want to get to know their neighbors and who are often just as amused or bewildered by the situations themselves. I've had exceptional customer service experiences given the situations and compensation involved. Their self-checkout has been revamped a couple of times but in half-measures and issues with new equipment aren't resolved quickly. I've seen staff calmly and effectively deal with angry or intoxicated customers in situations outside of their control. I watched a young woman, likely still a teenager, handle all but one self-checkout line crashing and she rang customers up at the computer until the line was gone. She shouldn't have to do that during an evening rush. I think that these issues have a lot more to do with how Kroger and much of Atlanta treats predominantly poor and working class Black neighborhoods. They don't have the infrastructure and support that the Glenwood Kroger has, 10 minutes away. They do have a new young manager now, and he obviously is trying. He has a good attitude and friendly demeanor, but I'm sure he needs support. Hopefully he gets it. Until then, just know this place is a roll of the dice. Unpredictable.

Horrible customer service. From cashier Alfredia On 4/25 1:16pm Cashier leaves the cash register as I am walking up, but her light was still on. I asked her if she was still open before I started loading groceries on the belt. She glares me and just look at light above her register without saying a word. She was very rude. And has very poor customer service skills.

I was visiting Georgia from Texas where we no longer have Kroger. I was thrilled to shop there and even though it was the week of Christmas, they had their stuff together.

they sold me a box of entenmanns mini cakes sealed with tape and a cake missing! the reviews are consistent. the corporate office needs shut this location down.

It wasn't the place, but the fact that Google maps took me all over Earth itself, and made the trip three times as long. It tried taking me down the beltline!

Wow, such terrible reviews. This is off of one experience and for a hot second. I came with a friend that lives in town to get Friendsgiving items. I headed for the wine aisle. Being from the Bay Area, there were a lot of brands I was not aware of. I was shocked to see that Kendall Jackson and Chateau Ste. Michelle were both under $12. There were even bottles for under $4! I didn't have any problem with the staff. In fact, one worker even started singing with me to the song being played in the store. Self checkout was easy and the young lady that had to approve my purchase even asked for my ID. Hope it all improves for the rest of you! Review #21 of 100 in 2021

This Kroger sits at a busy and overwhelming intersection on Cascade Road in the West End area of the city! I say confusing, as there is a lot going on with the light in front of Kroger and the neighboring light, which sits 10 yards away...you get both of them going plus the merge lanes and you are having some fun! I have friends who live close by, so whenever we are headed over their place and are tasked with bringing snacks or drinks, we always swing through this Kroger. While the West End of the city is one of the newest hot spots and is quickly becoming a go-to spot in the city, especially with the Beltline coming this way, the perception is that the area is less than safe and savory. This is very much visible with the additional security measures taken at this Kroger. I am not saying that they are not needed, as this location is essentially a city Kroger with lots of traffic. The stores entry/exit is manned by APD/Security guards and to get into the store itself you must go through gates which are only one way. I get that all this is to deter theft and I am all for it. I just wanted to bring attention so you aren't super surprised upon entry! The store itself is smaller and more compact and honestly is laid out differently than your average suburban Kroger. Due to this, it is easy for the registers to get backed up, or appear to be backed up, as there is not a lot of space between registers and aisles. In its current state, it is dated and worn in many places. On top of this, it is not the cleanest. There is usually debris all around the store and the parking lot is always full of overflowing trash cans and all types of trash and debris up and down the aisles and in spaces. There have been several times that I have had to switch up the game plan here as they are not always fully stocked...it is honestly more times than not. Service is mediocre. I have never had a negative interaction, but the folks here don't seem too interested in providing service, much less above and beyond service. Overall, we visit this Kroger out of convenience and necessity on our trips to the West End.
