As always, La Grotta remains one of the best Italian restaurants around. The atmosphere is classy, so please dress accordingly, as people go for both the atmosphere as well as the food/vino. The super tuscan vino is great if you are looking for a new wine to try, you can order a glass or the bottle (I recommend bottle if there are 3+ in your party it ends up being cheaper than individual glasses). The sacchetti as well as the pappardelle are both wonderful dishes. The gnocchi is cooked perfectly if you are a gnocchi fan.

We arrived without a reso….seems silly but we were not wanting to go anywhere else and I had a friend in town. The staff was super accommodating at getting us seated and were attentive throughout the entire meal. The food was DELICIOUS (that is what I wish other pastas tasted like), the wine list was great and the overall experience was just fantastic. Definitely in my top 3 spots now.

First visit and overall it was good; not great! Food was amazing, although we never received one of the items we ordered. Service was okay; waiter seemed preoccupied and never checked in when entrees were delivered.

Just amazing. Been there many times and used to frequent the one in Dunwoody even more back in the 80s and early 90s. But it's just a classic place. The food is amazing. The service is not pushy, but there is always someone near you to help. The courses are well-paced and the veal medallions we both had for dinner were amazing. We'll be back. We are visiting all the great Italian restaurants in Atlanta, and right now, this is the clear winner. I'm not sure what could beat it.
