Please update your website for your restaurant location in Buckhead. My husband and I are here from out of town staying at the Hampton Inn that's in the same block. We found your restaurant on the website and there were good reviews, and the food looked amazing. We decided to walk there since your website states that its open now,, and closes at 7p... only to arrive to see there's a sign posted that says this location was closed!! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

Came in for lunch and decided on the pulled chicken platter with bbq beans and collared greens.From the second I walked in service was great, and decided to eat in.The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sides were really well done.Great bbq and great service.

Amazing food and great atmosphere! Always enjoy my meals here. Ordered the pulled bbq chicken sandwich with Mac & cheese at it was very tasty. Got a beer on the side which paired nicely with the meal. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality bbq in Atlanta with a great location and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was kind and food was prepared fresh and quickly!

Oh man this is a off the beaten path. The food was actually amazing. You would not know us there because it's behind the Chipotle downstairs on the back side of the parking lot you're welcome. Service is great food freaking awesome thank you.

So, this is the South. And in the South, we have high expectation for our BBQ as the competition is pretty stiff. Especially so in the ATL. And I'm happy to say that I took a chance on Lovies and it paid off with me enjoying a great meal. I'd never heard of Lovies before and just thought I'd check them out. I'd eaten at the restaurant above them (Naan Stop, also a good joint) and realized there was a BBQ in the same building. Always on the hunt for a good BBQ spot I knew I'd have to stop in. And stop in I did. I knew I was in a good spot from the moment I walked it. The walls are decked out in with Atlanta sports teams' posters. There is even and old school Dale Murphy Power Alley poster! Anyway, the service was great. The young women who took my order was friendly, helpful and answered the questions I had on the menu as well as made recommendations. Now, in my opinion, when you go to a BBQ place the meat has to be great. That's just a given. And Lovies is no exception. I went with the pulled pork and it was spot on. Where places really set themselves apart for me is in their side and sauces. I liked Lovies sauces but they didn't blow my mind. They were plenty good but don't really stick out in my memory as a BBQ connoisseur. What does stick out was my side of fried Brussels sprouts. They were absolutely fantastic. I think this was the first time I'd come across them and damn they were good. Heck, I can't even remember what my other side was these made such an impression on me. And I owe this to the young lady who took my order and recommended them to me. Thank you, ma'am! So, to sum this review up I'd say, check out Lovies, make sure to order the Brussels sprouts, and enjoy! They are right around the corner form my house and I know I will be back.

Movies BBQ is some of the best in the city! I got the brisket plate. The brisket was tender and was seasoned well! The greens were ok, but the beans I could do without. The had a weird coffee taste to them. The ladies that work the front counter are very warm and welcoming with big beautiful smiles and a wonderful greeting to go along with it! I would recommend this place to anyone in the city looking for delicious bbq and a warm welcoming!
