A patient brought in a red velvet cake for our office and it was phenomenal!!! The best red velvet cake I’ve ever had in life. I don’t like chocolate cake but I love red velvet. The icing was phenomenal and cake was moist. Will definitely be ordering cakes from Metro Bakery in the future!

Always have loved these cakes. I recently ordered a sheet cake for a birthday. I was very unpleased. Cake was dry, cake was not decorated when I got there at the scheduled time to pick it up. When they finally brought it out, again it was not finished as it didnt have birthday writing on it as I requested - these thinga compiled pushed me late for the birthday event.

We’ve loved our cakes in the past, but made a huge mistake ordering the cannoli cake for a family birthday party. We mistakenly read the description for the cannoli cheesecake, which said nothing about being almond-flavor. There is nothing subtle about the over-powering flavor of almond in the cannoli cake. Not one person in our 30-person family, including sweet-obsessed toddlers could stomach more than a bite.

They need to update their website to tell people they are NOT taking orders. They need to update their phone message to say we will not be responding to messages until After Thanksgiving. They need to not over bake cakes. The Key Lime cake has NO taste. All the flavor is in the icing. The cake should be moist, not dry and crumbly.

I have gone to a baker that is a 52 mile round trip so I decided to try Metrotainment Bakery as a closer option. I went to their website and tried to place an order but was unable to do so and could not figure out why. The date was 11/26. I tried calling the bakery starting at 8 AM when they opened. I got a message telling me to leave my name and number and someone would call me right back. I left a very clear message including my phone number very slowly and clearly. I called numerous times and got the same message over and over. After 9 AM and no return call I decided to drive to the bakery. When I arrived I explained the problem trying to place an order. I was told we are NOT taking any orders online today. I said, it would be nice if the website stated this which it did not. I also mentioned calling and receiving no return call and I was told we are not answering any calls until after Thanksgiving. I mentioned it would be good to change the message explaining messages would not be returned until after Thanksgiving. I asked them what was popular and tasty among their cake offerings. I was told the Key Lime Cake is very good so I purchased a 10" 4 layer Key Lime Cake. At this point it gets really disappointing. The cake itself was tasteless! All the flavor is in the icing which was tasty. The cake was dry and the edges were actually a little crunchy - Over baked - Ugh. Needless to say, I am shocked at all of the good ratings for this bakery. VERY DISAPPOINTING! The cake was $45.74 and I won't be back. Lousy service and lousy cake.

I ordered a Pumpkin Cheesecake for my son's birthday over the phone ($44) and arranged for a local delivery service to pick it up. I asked them to put his name on the cake and they said no problem. Infact, she even spelled his name back to me. Cake arrives and guess what ...... no name on it what so ever. And to add injury to insult, they charged an additional $2.20 for a "TO GO charge". What's up with that? And what does a "to go charge" even mean? Do you pad your bill to all your customers to make the cost come to $50.12? They also failed to inform me there would be an extra random charge added. Big Fail Metrotainment! I tried calling for an explanation but you never even picked up the phone on a Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 to answer. Southern Sweets and Henri's will be getting my business next time.

I had an excellent experience ordering a custom birthday cake for my wife. I called and submitted some ideas and I was pleased with the email correspondence with Rosy the bakery manager to get exactly what I wanted. We were super impressed with the level of detail in the Peony flowers that my wife loves. She was happy, I was happy and the White Chocolate Mouse cake was amazing. It was moist and full of flavor and still tasted great a day later and the day after that. I will definitely be coming back in the future. Thanks!
The older I get and as a parent of 3 little ones, the more I appreciate those things in life that bring genuine joy and are experientially memorable! Metrotainment Bakery falls into that category. Heard about a rainbow cake they made and decided to pick one up for my 6 year olds birthday. THEN found out the had an option to turn it into a UNICORN. Ummm....I think we both know the way that decision went. I'm so glad we did as I got to say I probably enjoyed the cake more than my guests or kids did. That being said they aren't the cheapest, far from it, but I guarantee I won't be talking about a cake I bought at Costco in 5 years but there is a 100% chance I'll be talking about the magical Unicorn Rainbow Cake we got from our friends at Metrotainment. I love you!

First time customer. So I placed an order during the first week on September for my mother’s birthday. Come to the day where I’m picking up the cupcakes(30), they mistook the amount of cupcakes I wanted. Not a big problem, they go more from the back. However, when I get home and start trying them with my family, the red velvet and German chocolate cupcakes taste stale and dry(especially when it’s supposed to compliment the icing). And one thing that mad it worse was that I had ordered white chocolate raspberry, but got white chocolate buttercream(I’m not sure if that’s the exact cupcake, but the cupcakes weren’t filled) instead. So yeah, we’re definitely not coming back here.

Words cannot express how wonderful these people are and how talented . Just beyond words . The custom cake was perfect . We did a southern cake pull for bridesmaids with sterling silver charms placed under the cake. I mailed them to Loradona and she created a masterpiece that was so beautiful and delicious !

Amazing cakes. Worst customer service that I have ever experienced. We have been going to Atlanta to visit friends for years and they have cakes from this place. Love their product. This year we went down on a Wednesday and on Thursday contacted them via email to order a cake to have ready the following Monday. I reminded them that Monday was Labor Day but they assured me that they would be open that day. On Monday we stopped by an hour before closing. They were not open. We couldn't stay another day just to pick up a cake. Luckily I had not yet paid. I sent them another email that day to let them know what had happened. They wanted my phone number to call me back. I complied. They called back the next day just to let me know that I was wrong and that they were right. Who does this? I figured a mistake had just happened and moved on but they insisted on getting in touch with me just to let me know that they had no record of me ever ordering with them, and that they indeed were open the day I stopped by to pick it up.

I ordered my 30th birthday cake from Metrotainment, and I'm so happy I did some research and explored bakeries until I found them. I requested live flowers to be put on the cake, and brought my own assortment but gave them creative freedom with placement. It was so beautiful I almost cried when I picked it up. Oh, and it tasted AMAZING! Even days after the party the cake was still rich and delicious. The customer service rocks, the quality and pricing was unbeatable. It was a special day for me and everything I could've wanted for a cake!! :)
