Violette is a great place for a nice dinner. The food is always great, and we are pleasantly surprised they had several New Orleans-style dishes. We tried them, and they were great. We will be going back.

Ambiance is a bit more stale than I thought, granted its been there for a long time and it was a Monday night. We were seated right away but the service to get drinks, take orders and get the food took a while. I ordered the french onion soup that was great and very classic. The balance and seasoning was spot on. I also got the crab cakes, that were luke warm. For entree I got the Beef Bourguigonon and it was overcooked and parts of it was chewy and bland. The wine flavor or deoth in the sauce was lacking. I was also mindblown that there was not one French Bourgundy on the menu, just jammy pinot noirs. The wine selection was also Disappointing. Husband got the Foie Gras and that was delish. Foie gras was really fresh and the textures and flavors were delicious. He also got the steak frites, delicious as well. The fries with a hint of truffle and crispiness was great. Maybe I just had bad luck that night, but it wont be a place I think about.

They made my birthday so special with always amazing service, perfect table of my choice, delicious complimentary desert with candle and all! I love celebrating birthdays here and will continue!

Our first visit, and the food was great. We ordered the Coq au Vin and the Grilled Filet with a lobster tail, and Creme Brulee for dessert. Servers were pleasant and knowledgeable. We arrived early for dinner and were seated in the back; over the course of an hour the room filled up, but ambiance was still good. We could carry on a conversation during dinner. Parking is tight and valet service seemed to be short-handed.

A wonderful experience from beginning to end Our food was amazing. The vegetables were so fresh and tasty. The pasta was homemade and the Beef was delicious! The service was excellent! We will definitely be back

The sauce on the snails was bland. The dish needed more seasoning. The sauce on the coquille at Jacques was undercooked and flavorless. The rolls were bland as well. Veal piccata was very good. We were slightly disappointed.

We chose to do a late Valentine's Celebration on the Thursday after. It was a good choice. The food from Soup to Entree was exceptional. So good in fact that we did not have room for desert even though they were tempting.

Fantastic, as always. The Valentines dinner was Above and Beyond the normal wonderful experience. The Beef Wellington was superb, and the service was impeccable. This is our Go To restaurant for special occasions or any time we want a great meal. Highly recommend!

We had reservations at Petite Violette on Valentine's Day. Though we were late for our reservations they accommodated us which we appreciated. Our server, Cat, was very nice, but we had to request bread twice. The appetizers of escargot and Crab Louie were delicious, but my Valentine's Salad had little to no salad dressing. I had to request dressing, again twice. We had the boeuf bourguignon which was good, but the pearl onions and mushrooms were very undercooked and the Chilean sea bass risotto, while good was a bit bland and the risotto was gummy and needed salt. The desserts of crème brûlée and cheese cake were just ok. It was a nice overall experience it being Valentine's Day which might be what overshadowed a rather mediocre meal and service.

Always enjoy dining here. Been a fan since earlier days at Petite Auberge before they merged with Violette. Missed the French bread. Replacement bread was accepted but I grew up in New Orleans with the real thing.

Always a pleasure . The BEST French Onion Soup I've ever had! Service was fantastic-Mike was fun and attentive. I'll be back soon! Thanks for my birthday crème brûlée!

We dined in the back room. It would improve the dining experience if they had dimmers on the overhead lights. One of my friends, compared it to a surgical suite which is certainly not the way you need to feel when you're dining. Just a suggestion.

We arrived early and were seated immediately. We were seated in a comfortable booth, and our waiters arrived promptly. Everything was excellent. We brought new friends and wanted a good experience, and we surely had it. Thank you for combining two favorites, and making Petite Violet better than either before.

A fine choice for some classy dining, without driving downtown. Generous food and drink portions enhanced the experience. Good service, too. Now, if they would only replace the sad pieces of 'art' displayed on the walls! Why would their decorator go to Wal-Mart for framed pictures?

The trout and Beef Wellington were perfectly prepared perfectly. Not over seasoned and the flavor really came through. Every dish including the salads were excellent. The trio playing French music were very good and the ambiance is perfect for a date night or night out with friends.
