LOVE this place!! Comfort food that doesn't make you feel gross afterwards. I especially love: rotisserie chicken, chicken fingers, broccoli/cauliflower casserole, baked sweet potato, salads, corn, chicken & rice soup, and of course the cornbread!!

Ordered pick up order today for my family for the first time in about a year. Food was hot, well packaged and ready in a timely manner. I ordered rotisserie chicken with collard greens and sweet potato casserole. The chicken was yummy but everything else was just ok. My first bite of my sweet potato casserole had a piece of macaroni in it and overall the sweet potato casserole was full of chunks. I was very disappointed that they have discontinued their turnip greens which were amazing and now only have collards which are finely chopped and odd tasting. I have been eating at Roasters for almost 15 years and their turnip greens have always been a favorite. I really hope they bring them back.Vegetarian options: Please bring back the turnip greens. The collards (I love good collards) are not a good replacement. They are not good.

I was craving a baked potato tonight and decided to search for restaurants nearby that would get the job done. I selected the "chicken plate 2 veg" with homemade bbq, loaded baked potato, and steamed broccoli from Roasters, via UberEats. With that said, I obviously can't speak on ambiance, but service seemed to pack my order up pretty quick which was great. Upon arrival, I was pleased with how nicely it was packaged, and the food looked appetizing. As for the food, which is the main reason you're reading the reviews, I'm sure, read on... The steamed broccoli tasted up to standard, but to my preference, could've been steamed just a tad longer. The loaded baked potato satisfied my craving. I squeezed the sour cream in it and mixed it all up. The bacon bits, green onion, and cheese added great flavor to the potato. I only wish that it was even more loaded. The toppings were a bit sparse and could've definitely used more, especially for a potato of this size. Sadly, the chicken was my least favorite item in the bunch. One bite I took had either a tendon or a small bone in it. It freaked me out, so I spit it out and didn't investigate further. From then on, I was careful with my bites. Unfortunately, the meat itself tasted completely seasonless. If it wasn't for the average quality bbq sauce that I smothered extra of on top of it, I probably wouldn't have eaten it. Overall, my meal was just okay. If I'm in the mood for a baked potato again (which is hardly ever, for me, as I usually crave potato in other forms such as tater tots, hash browns, mashed, French fries, etc.), I'd consider ordering from here again. Otherwise, I probably won't, if I'm being honest. Perhaps I just made the wrong protein choice. The chicken tenders looked good, so I may give it another chance and try those. We'll see!

I typically visit Roasters for their meatloaf, but the quality of our recent meal there was disappointing. The meatloaf was nasty. And Normally, their collard greens and yams are enjoyable, but they failed to meet expectations this time. It's unclear what went wrong, but my family and I placed a large to-go order, and the only one satisfied with their meal was my brother-in-law, who chose the lemon pepper wings.

Lunch with my coworkers. Nelson was our server & he was totally awesome ? Very helpful & very attentive. I ordered Ribs & roasted chicken white meat with creamed spinach & sweet potato soufflé. The ribs were very tender & fell off the bone. Unfortunately, the meat itself was not seasoned. The chicken wasn’t seasoned either, very bland taste. The creamed spinach was mediocre at best; it reminded me of Boston Market’s spinach in Michigan. The sweet potato soufflé was the best item I had. If you like unseasoned meats, this is the place to go! I tried it once & no need to return. I’m glad my boss paid for the food!!!
