The She crab soup was delicious! Small portions for a bowl, but very tasty. For my entree I had the shrimp and grits. It was okay, but not the best I've ever had. I will say it had lots of shrimp -

Excellent service, fantastic food, great experience over all. A bit slow for things to get to table, especially drink orders, but other from that it was really great. For sure will return.

Party of five we were crammed in a small table for four. Our server was rude and short with us. The noise level was very loud. This place was  recommended to us. Very disappointed.
I left the table for three minutes to use the restroom and by the time I got back my table had been cleared with someone completely new sitting at. Incredibly rude and poor treatment.

Great wines by the glass and a good pour. Cocktail was meh. Biscuits/muffins were cold. We ate at 6:45 pm on a Saturday night. The chicken livers were amazing. Just turbo delicious. Our waitress recommended the mahi mahi and should have stuck with my original thought of trout. Mahi mahi had no flavor at all (trout would've been fresh). The zucchini that came with it was tepid, at best, and WAY overcooked. Best part of the dish was the little piece of fried kale. My mahi mahi was also way overcooked but i didn't send it back. My partner doesn't mind overcooked fishand we both ordered the mahi mahi so we swapped. But the zucchini had been prepped before dinner service and then poorly heated. And again, for both of us, the zucchini was WAY overcooked. Gross. Service was pretty good except that our mains were a bit lukewarm. I think they sat for a while. But our server was knowledgeable but very very busy. Servers need less tables or more runners. It was our first anniversary, which we put on the reservation and neither the host or server acknowledged it. We'll probably go back, since it's 3 blocks away from our condo, but it was not the best experience. Maybe pick a less busy time?

Great food as always! The upstairs gets extremely loud as it gets closer to lunchtime, and I'm glad our reservation was earlier for brunch. Also, out server was so soft spoken the table could never hear him. Overall would recommend going for an earlier brunch but wouldn't go back for dinner due to the noise level.
Sooo as Chicagoans who were visiting Atlanta, I was blown away by this place. Service was IMPECCABLE!!!! From host to our beautiful server Kenia. She was soo personal and friendly and just lovely... she was good in helping us decide what to order and as soon as I mentioned that our kids are turning 17 she just smiled and said I got this! Don't worry. And the whole experience was beautiful. Everyone had a blast and food was amazing!!!! The bests fried chicken and brusel sprouts with pork chop out of this planet.

The food was amazing. I had the fried chicken and the pork chop! My wife had the beef cheeks. I would love to say the collard greens were my favorite, but everything was amazing and perfect. The service was outstanding and we will be back!

I have always liked SSK having been going there for decades. The food and service are consistently good and their southern take on dishes is generally on point and a great introduction to the art of southern cooking for both natives and out of towners.

Excellent food and flavors. Waitress Kendra/Kenya was wonderful. Friendly and knowledgeable. I like My food hot (temp) and it could have been a bit hotter for my liking. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Food was excellent but slightly pricey for chicken, mashed potatoes and collard greens. Excellent service . Only complaint was very tight seating, uncomfortably warm, and restrooms somewhat inconvenient.

I truly enjoyed dinner here last fall when my father visited Atlanta. That was one of my best memory in Atlanta and I really loved it. Last week, my friend visited Atlanta and the first place popped into my head is South City Kitchen midtown. It was a perfect lunch with excellent food and atmosphere. Love this place!
