Food was pretty good! The bread is outstanding. I got the Meatloaf(Great), she got the Beef and Broccoli (didn't like but not their specialty) and the Dessert was awesome.

Met a friend for brunch and had a great southern meal. Make sure you make a reservation because it is a popular place.

These lovely people know the difference between hospitality and food service. Fried oysters, like veal kidneys, are considered the test of a chef; the chef aced that.

The restaurant was a little chilly (but that could be because we got there when it opened). Our reservation was at 10am & they weren't quite ready to seat us at that time. Food was fairly good & they took good care of my sister in law who has a severe dairy allergy. Service was attentive.

We came for the Roast Beef. It was satisfactory, but not outstanding. The wedge Salad was very good, as usual, with salmon. We will definitely return, but probably not for Roast Beef. We enjoy the restaurant.

This was a cute little bistro. I ❤️ it from the outside. My first impression from walking in was the the hostess could use more training and/or help. She did not greet me for atleast 10 minutes and I was the only guest at that time. She was on the phone with another guest taking their order and appeared to be having challenges understanding the order and them yet never once waived, mouthed or anything to acknowledge my presence. When she ended the call she did seat me however even then it was some sort of confusion as to who would wait on me. It just seemed really weird. Normally, I would have shared this with a manager however there was a power outage during my visit so I did not get to share.I did have a nice waitress and she shared the menu in detail and made a few suggestions. I went with the friend chicken salad and added extra avocados. I did not like the chicken however the salad without the meat was delicious. I do give the entire staff kudos because the power went out for about 20 to 30 minutes with a full restaurant and they were extremely accommodating throughout the power outrage.

Jada was lovely. Jeff the bartender rude and did not complete drink order as requested. Took drink back and he told me I did not need it made that way. He called manager and told him to deal with it. Drink remade then as requested. Prime rib (the reason to be there on a Saturday night) had been reserved a very rare serving but the kitchen (not the waitperson) forgot to do it. When the prime rib came out it was gray- way overdone and there were no more servings. Tough night at the Bistro - especially as I was treating a group of 4.

The crab cakes with spinach side special was delectable. Price: $38. I thought it would be a great place to meet with a client as people online said it was a quiet place for a good meal; it's almost impossible to find quiet restaurants in Atlanta! Why is that?!Unfortunately, it was extremely loud inside the restaurant, likely because it is popular as the food is so good. I had to raise my voice to be heard by my client, who was sitting two feet from me across the table.Other than the noise issue, I really enjoyed the meal. The waiter Sean was pleasant, accommodating and efficient. I enjoyed the look of the restaurant and feel of the restaurant. It was a delightful culinary experience.

Southern Bistro is by far one of the best neighborhood restaurants in Atlanta! If you judge a restaurant by the number of locals that frequent it then this restaurant needs to be on your list! Favs are burger, chicken sandwich, seasonal Salmon, chopped steak salads and great full bar!

Ordered the spinach salad with salmon which was excellent, especially with the warm goat cheese. Indulged in the pound cake for dessert, which I highly recommend. It is served warm with homemade whip cream and a caramel glaze. Perfect for sharing!

As a foody diner who prefers organic and sustainable food choices, the menu was limited in that regard. The food was not plated well, felt like diner food. Looks like a messy child had sat at our table before us and the floor and chairs were not cleaned up. I hate when I go out to dinner and think I could have had better food if I had stayed home! Disappointed.
