Found this place by accident. Went inside and fell in love with the bakery items on display. You order from the QR code and they bring your food out. Reasonably priced and THEE BEST spinach dip! 30 mins from my house but worth the trip!

RUNNNN...DO NOT order food from here!! This is the first restaurant that I have ever rated and I am sick to my stomach after eating 1 bite of their supposed smoked lemon pepper chicken wings. This is the WORST food that I have ever had delivered and ever eaten. The fish seemed to be a week old...the dressing was the consistency of cornmeal...the broccoli rice casserole was rubbery...the cheesecake was still frozen and old...the cornbread roll was inedible....WORST EVER....IF YOU TRY it and waste your money, it's your fault....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I was looking for some good ole soul food and thought I'd give them a try. No regrets here. Everything was seasoned well and tasted well. I was a little annoyed by having to order online but that was simpler than I expected. I ordered several sides but forgot the one I really wanted "candid yams". I was too stuffed to walk back inside to get them. I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely not! No flavor, everything is tasteless. We ordered meatloaf, Mac, mash potatoes. Greens, black eye peas, dressing, corn bread muffins and a smothered turkey wing for $80 on uber eats. Waste of money and we were extremely disappointed. My gravy for the turkey wing was EXTREMELY watery and not thick like a normal gravy for a turkey wing should be. I took a bite of the corn bread muffin and literally spit it out. How do you mess up corn bread? It tasted like cardboard. My boyfriend took a bite of the dressing and also spit it out. We ate a few bites of what we could get down but honestly nothing was appetizing. I'm not a fan of over salted food but NO seasoning is crazy. Maybe it was a bad day for this place so try it at your own will. But the food is highly over priced for the quality, taste and portions. Very disappointing

Customer Service can be worked on.First time customer, walked in store because I’ve never ordered online only when I’m in person. The staff looked at me with confusion, no greeting, so I asked my questions then left. For the price of their food, there are so many other Southern food options I can choose from, so I did just that.

Fish tasted like I'd cooked it at home myself! Seasoned to perfection! Also, the Biscoff cheese cake was a delicious treat to top it all off! Thank you for the excellent customer service! ? ?

I ordered on line from Southern Kitchen, for the first time - today. The only issue really, after finally locating them was the French fries were so overly saturated - in seasoning salt, so much so that I could not eat them, period!! The BBQ Pork Sandwich was yummy, although-- I was surprised to see that the pork was already "sauced", since there was a choice for a sauce. I prefer mine on the side (I imagined it would be plain smoky grilled pulled pork AND slaw, but no slaw was on the sandwich, either - as pictured - or offered as an add on! Pretty disappointed for the amount I spent for a sandwich and fries, and picked up - not delivered. I tipped, as well.I may try again and do some catfish...and request NO Salts!

Overall, the staff were great with engaging and answering questions related to the best selling desserts. Unfortunately, the food was not “nasty” but it lacked flavor. We had greens, cornbread, fish, pulled pork, mac & cheese and baked beans.

Their price points are way off for what you get. The food, while not bad, is mediocre or sometimes just above above mediocre at best. $25-$35 for basic type dishes (meatloaf, fried chicken) and $9 for basic type sides (mashed potatoes, grits, peas/beans) for small portions. Even with the average quality and taste, the prices could be justifiable if the portions were large, but their not. Also, this is not a restaurant, it's a food kitchen they sell food directly out of so it makes it even more puzzling that their prices are so inflated. There's no bottom line for all the extra requirements or expenses that come with with an actual restaurant. Typically in these type business models, prices are a little less because of that. It's literally a take out spot. I've had the fried fish, fried chicken wings, greens, mac and cheese, green beans, cornbread dressing, banana pudding. I'd love to give this a better review bc again, their food is slightly better than average making it reliable, but that with the portion size and zero dining/restaurant experience just makes their prices grossly unjustifiable. Spend your money on a standard takeout meal (single serving entree and two sides and drink) elsewhere or if you're going to pay $50 for a meal, at least get a experience/vibe, higher end quality/taste or larger portions for it elsewhere. If they right sized their meals and/or prices... this place has potential for consistent 4-5 star reviews, and probably people ordering from the a lot more often, including myself.
