It wasn’t too hard to get a reservation for 5 the day before. Lex our server, gave great recommendations for our food and wine and was there whenever we needed something. I especially loved the calamari ink pasta dish. And save room for the Tiramisu. The fresh pasta, excellent service and onsite parking made the trip to Buckhead worth it! I highly recommend!

Portions are very small and overpriced. It may be very good Italian food, but not worth the cost.

Storico Fresco Ristorante is a hipster version of a classic Italian restaurant located in the Buckhead suburb of Atlanta, GA.Dylan, my server, greeted me right away with a smile and took my drink order. I ordered the smoked old fashion, an old drink that is making a comeback. Classics like that never die! As I was sitting there looking over the menu for my order, I could smell smoke from somewhere. I initially thought that another table nearby was getting the same drink I was. The smoke smell was strong but pleasant, announcing my drink before it arrived. The old fashion arrived in a large glass container where it was poured in front of me so I could see the smoke billowing out. It was quite a show - classy, for this classy cocktail. The drink itself was good, but had a slight chemical aftertaste, from the smoking process. It was not overwhelming, but it was definitely there. It was not noticeable enough for me not to order a second one! LOLThe meatballs were ordered as my appetizer (on the menu as polpette). They arrived hot with a generous amount of red sauce. They were great but the star of the dish was the Italian bread that came with them. I am told it is imported directly from Italy. It was one of the most delicious breads I have ever eaten. It was crispy and flaky, with delightful bubbles filled with just the right amount of salt. I could have eaten that bread as a meal with the red sauce - YUM and well done! For my main course, I ordered the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese which is a wide noodle smothered in meat sauce. I wanted comfort food, and this did the trick. It was rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. Nothing fancy, just delicious.I will be rating this restaurant 5 stars. It is well worth checking out.

We’ve eaten here many times and never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the lasagna and the paninis, especially the mozzarella, tomato, arugula and pesto panini - the bread is amazing!
