This was absolutely our favorite Sushi restaurant in the area. Over the last few months they have been virtually impossible to order from via any online order channel or over the phone. It sounds like they are getting pushed out due to higher rents in Toco Hills, I hope they can find a new location nearby.

Worth trying! We ordered 2 rolls, Fantastic roll and Hawaiian roll. We really enjoyed both of them. We really liked the Fantastic roll but were happy we tried the Hawaiian roll since it was on the lighter side. The food was ready exactly when they said it would be. They’ve always been very nice and even gave us two complimentary miso soups. Everything was on par with other higher rated sushi restaurants. Honestly, I don’t know why their rating isn’t higher. We enjoyed the miso soup as well. ? Give it a try!!

I've always enjoyed the sushi from here. They are relatively fast with orders, I've only ever seen two people working, I assume it's the owners. Well, those two people are the reason I had to write a review. My boyfriend and I decided while shopping we wanted sushi so we decided to pop in and place a to-go order. While we were waiting, the woman came up to us with the warmest smile on her face asking if she could get us a drink or some miso soup. We said that we were ok, and she said something along the lines of ok sorry for the wait! Even though it had only been like three min since placing the order. You could just tell they were putting their all into the service and food. We got our food back very quickly (very quick since we saw the same man make both of our roles- both came out beautifully) and it was amazing.... I've eaten here many times so I knew what I was getting. The cherry on top was when the woman came behind with to go soup and said I just wanted to send you both home with some soup I wish I had enough money to buy sushi from them every night. Pls pls pls consider sushi matsuya for a nice good meal

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME HERE!!!! I came once to dine in, and yesterday evening for takeout. This is easily one of the best affordable sushi places I've been to, and I love the area. It's in the toco hills plaza, so you can easily run errands and hangout there after. They have grate Sakes and I got the super crunch roll (I believe). Both times that I came, the staff was GREAT. Lovely service, lovely food, lovely everything!!

Good food and good service! The combination of vegetables in the shrimp teriyaki was a little strange but I liked it overall! The restaurant was absolutely dead on a Monday night but that's not unusual.

Went to get an Easter pedicure with my fiancé at Lush Nail Bar in toco hills and decided to come in for a quick bite to eat. Had a little chat with the owner, apparently the pandemic had not been kind to them, however their dining room is completely open and ready for business!!! The service was impeccable and the food was even better!!!!! We will be back! I think I have found my “sushi spot” from now on!
