We ordered several apps, a hot dish and two rolls, along with 2 cocktails and a 300ml sake. Everything was delicious and service was great. The value isn't there for us to come often, but we enjoyed our meal.

I went after a work meeting as I needed to travel the next day back home and I was told by my hotel staff to come visit and that It was a great experience. I went with leggings and gym shoes on and I was told to turn away and change them come back. I didn't have a problem with that but it seemed that they either weren't use to a person going to this place solo or maybe something else. With me being a woman or color, it was important for me to have a great experience and to be treated well so I came back and had a good experience. The food was great and I loved the presentation. The restaurant was very cold in my opinion which was probably the only issue I had. Next time I would sit in the patio section which seemed really nice.

UMI is a top favortie of mine and my husbands. We love it here and I was able to experience the restaurant this week with a top client of mine. He also loved it and I cannot wait to go back again.

It was really loud and crowded. You can hardly find a place because there's no signs outside of the place to lead you there. Also, you can't take your leftovers home. I won't be back.
Food consistently A+. I do feel service has gone down over the years. Wish two tops weren't sat at long tables that seat 6. I understand how that seating may be beneficial to the restaurant. However, for a patron it felt very informal and crowded. I would have appreciated my own two top. Service was good: secondary was on point. Server acknowledged my birthday when I sat down then proceeded to do nothing about it.

I will admit the hype around this restaurant was very high, having had a number of friends dine here. We sat on the covered porch which was quite loud but still enjoyable. While very good my wife and I had higher expectations for the sushi. We would eat here again, sitting inside and potentially getting some hot dishes like the Waygu which looked excellent at nearby tables.

Food was ok, service by our waiter was really good. But the racist comment I heard from the owner left such a bad taste we won’t be coming back. Boycott.
One of my wife’s best friends go to Sushi spots. Ended up splurging and taking her out for her birthday. We absolutely devoured some delicious Uni, Otoro, and Chutoro. Although this place stays busy, the service was decent this go around. Quality of the sushi is always spot on - and it better be for the price point!
After seeing the way the owner handled himself with a family trying to eat at the restaurant is ridiculous. Never want to support such a negative atmosphere!!! Racial profiling at its finest.
