My family is from Charleston SC and we know geechee so I have high expectations of this soul food restaurant in Atlanta. We decided to go to Virgils on a whim and because it was a quick drive from the Aquarium. The service was great, really great. The food wasn't heavy or weighed down by a lot of sauce, and the cornbread was the best I've ever had. Even the vibe was good. Not pretentious and not over the top. I'm definitely coming back to Virgils on my next trip to Atlanta. You should too.

The food was excellent and my server Jaleen was excellent as well.Not only did Jordan and Jaleen provide a comfortable and welcoming environment, but they also recommended dishes that they enjoyed, enhancing my overall experience .
