I was in Atlanta for a work trip and looking for a place slightly off the beaten path to grab a meal after a week of long meetings. I was super excited to find this place, a dark little restaurant with a huge patio and fantastic staff. I started with a mocktail that they kindly upgraded into a cocktail for me, the rosy cheeks: seedlip spice, cranberry grenadine, grapefruit, and rose water with a gin kick that was just delicious. For the food, we began with the burrata plate - a generous helping of fresh mozz, adorned with cherry tomatoes, toasts, and assorted meats. I probably could have stopped there, but pressed on to the southern fried chicken, which was just perfect, and so incredibly well balanced with the collards and mushroom jus, as well as tangy goat cheese in the tomato salad. Just absurdly delicious, comforting food. For dessert, I had a s'mores bar that just perfectly capped the meal. Service was fast, accurate, attentive, and never annoying. Prices were super reasonable and the vibe was perfect. Definitely worth checking out.

They have shut the doors and closed down for good. Gone completely out of business. Not there any longer.

First I'll start off by saying the service was great. The food wasn't great but wasn't bad. I got the meatloaf sandwich and my wife got a salad. My main issue was how expensive it was for the quality we got. Could easily be half the price but I think the location affects this quite a bit. I'd say skip the meatloaf sandwich and try something else.

I've been here twice for dinner. The decor is fun and the servers are attentive but the food is just ok. The prices are a little high for what you get. I've had the fried chicken and the fish and chips. I'll probably go back because they take reservations although I've never seen it too busy. Good atmosphere.

Super fun retro/mid-century modern design! The eggs in hell was delicious, sort of an American twist on shakshuka

Food was cold by the time it made it to me. I ordered the salmon. It was not very seasoned. The veggie hash wasn't very good also no seasoning. The Brussels were ok. The dish was hot when it arrived. Server was good.

I am actually shocked that the ratings aren't higher. Not only was the service phenomenal, but the food/drinks were insane! The hubs and I were having a casual date day at Three Taverns, and we noticed Wonderkid. We love eating, so curiosity led us inside.Let me tell you, their sandwiches? They are crazy good, and not to mention, GIGANTIC. We ordered several rounds of drinks, a poke bowl, meatloaf sandwhich and fried chicken sandwhich. That chicken was fried perfectly, and the meatloaf was so delicious. I'm still thinking about the food and drinks!! Definitely a must try restaurant - I can't wait to go back!

This place is so interesting.... I can't really tell what cuisine the restaurant is trying to cater to. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of their menu at all. I did, however, enjoy the ambiance it offered. It gives 1960/1970's diner which is really different and nice!

Stopped in for dinner before the concert we were going to, and had dinner. We both ordered the Wonder Burger and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The temperature was perfect, and just the overall freshness of the vegetables in the meat was very nice. It's a very clean restaurant and the service was pretty good.If you find this review helpful, click like below.

Really good food and a neat retro settings. The drinks were traditional, but with delicious updates. Seating was comfortable and easy to access bathrooms. Great way to start a concert night with the nearby venue. The ramps connecting the levels made exploring easy. Looking forward to going back.

Have been twice now. On one visit, I would echo other mentioned complaints about getting poor service for seemingly no reason. Both visits I'm in agreement about the very high prices for food in a place that pretty explicitly brands itself as casual. The cocktails are good. The food is hit or miss - brunch menu is limited for vegetarians and the veggie scramble was very bad. The eggs is hell is definitely the way to go for vegetarian brunch.

I've organized my thoughts into two portions. The food and ambiance, and the service. Food and Ambiance: I was definitely excited about visiting Wonderkid. The late 70's aesthetic aligns with my personal style and the style of Muchacho a block over. It evokes a smooth nostalgic vibe. I loved walking in the side door and seeing the disco ball bouncing lights off the check in desk. The ambiance was exceptional. I was definitely a little intimidated which is what I want from a chic restaurant in the heart of Reynoldstown. The food was fine. $15 for a chicken salad sandwich didn't seem overpriced but I wish I had known it would be served cold with equally cold chips. I didn't have much of an idea of what to expect (for reasons I'll get into shortly) but other than that I wasn't overly disappointed with the food. I had an oatmeal cookie. Very good, just cold. Considering the reviews I had read and the word of mouth I had received from my neighbors, it felt like the kitchen staff may have just been tired tonight. Which was odd considering how slow the evening oriented establishment's traffic already was. The service: My server was Anna. And I'd like to first say that I appreciated the complimentary dessert for my birthday (yes it was my birthday lmao). That said, Anna was the worst server I've had in recent memory. As a former employee of the service industry, I can't stress enough how wildly careless, unprofessional and lackluster her service behavior was. Every time she approached my table, the ambiance of the environment dropped. She had absolutely zero charm or charisma and every action she took during our experience detracted from the overall vibe. Her recommendations lacked enthusiasm or detail, her response to learning it was my birthday seemed disinterested and she was adept and making my group feel like an such afterthought. It amazed me that she couldn't recite the dessert options for the life of her and, rather than double back to the bar then tell them to me, she'd rather encourage me to leave my seat and review them myself. As a former server from Los Angeles (where the hourly is $13) I couldn't fathom how a server in Georgia could feel so complacent with giving the bare minimum level of customer service and still expect a 20% tip when the hourly wage is so low here. My group's dining experience here was no different from being at a Golden Corral. So to find that 20% gratuity was built into EVERY check made me feel like not only does Anna not respect her customers, but she doesn't respect Wonderkid, which goes out of its way to ensure servers like her are fairly protected and compensated. Side note: completing side-work like Vacuuming the carpet while patrons are trying to carry a conversation more than an hour before close is beyond unacceptable. To Wonderkid: please consider providing Anna with more training if you're planning to keep her on board. I doubt that carelessness and complacency embody the Wonderkid aesthetic.

I wasn't overwhelmed. I wasn't underwhelmed. I was just whelmed. Cute 70s decor, nice happy hour deals on cocktails. However, none of us enjoyed our food. Ravioli was not flavorful and overpriced. My husband has had a better burger at Burger King and the chips were stale. The crab cake sliders reminded my father-in-law of frozen seafood that you buy from the supermarket and heat up. According to my mother-in-law the chicken salad had too much mayonnaise and not enough flavor. The only thing that was maybe worth eating were the fries. Service was not great. It took them 20-25 minutes to come out with a cocktail after 2 reminders. Also note that gratuity is included. We will not be back.

I was quiet surprised with how good the food was here. I mean I wasn't expecting Michelin star quality but after reading some bad reviews about other peoples experiences I was a bit skeptical... glad we went for brunch. It's a whole mood in here. Love the decor. Our waitress was nice and got our food to us quickly. My eggs in hell were cooked perfectly. The tomatoes were so delicious. Not bland at all. You can tell they took their time with the recipe because it has a kick to it but nothing you can't handle. The only thing they could switch up is using cheddar or a different type of cheese on the grilled cheese, which is why I'm giving this 4 stars. Tasted too fake cheesy for me. My friends got the chicken and waffles, French toast and wonderkid bowl. All three also very good and well flavored. Prices on food and drinks are worth the value of the meal. This place isn't overpriced and doesn't try to overdo it.
