Went here for a h.s. classmates wedding. Kind of off of the beaten path (Auburn,GA down the road from Athens) but a nice venue. The wedding itself was outside in their garden, which was decorated nicely. The reception was held inside which was just as quaint. There were about 60-70 people in attendance but the place could probably accommodate about 100 comfortably. While I didn't ask the groom the price of the venue, it didn't feel as though it would "break the bank!" If you're expecting a smaller crowd and want an intimate setting, I'd definitely give them a look!

Our daughter was married here last night and I can’t say enough about how beautifully everything went. The gorgeous venue itself, the wonderful wait staff, the most amazing flowers (Lindy the designer is so sweet to work with), the yummy food, and Nicole the wedding coordinator (who we couldn’t have done it without her! She put out fires before we knew any existed and was so gracious to us ❤️) Thank you for making this such a beautiful memory for all of us!

A Gorgeous and Historic Venue for a Wedding Celebration The reception area of this venue boasts high ceilings and beautiful stairs that will leave guests in awe. Beautiful wedding venue. Just be aware of the setting sun's direction when sitting guests outdoors. The food was great. Staff were professional and nice.It's definitely in a remote area, but worth the drive out to the country.
As a photographer I visited this venue for a wedding I will say some of the staff have attitude problems but as long as you just keep moving forward and enjoy the event you don’t really notice. Most of the grounds are handicap accessible except for the upstairs dining area and bride and grooms roomsNote to photographers rooms for brides and grooms are VERY VERY DARK be sure to bring extra lighting for any indoor photography

Let me just say my experience with Carl House from start to finish was just AMAZING. I love how the Carl House does the Carl House Experience (CHE) for we could try different foods on the menu and meet a variety of wonderful vendors. During the CHE process my husband and I selected our menu and we got amazing review from all of our guest. A lot people found out they actually like Brussel sprouts. Here it is 2 months from the day of my wedding I am still craving the delicious food which says a lot about. Also, from the CHE, I was able to choose a make up artist, DJ, Car rental company, wedding cake person and lastly my flowers where amazingly arranged by the in-house florist. The one thing I love about the Carl House is that you get a lot for your money and you will not be disappointed. My day of coordinator Nicole was a God sent. Even through all the crazy and my indecisive self, she always provided me with truth on what works best for their venue, she also had everyone a schedule that flowed very well. Nicole made sure my husband and I were able to eat and were not disturbed for we can enjoy our first meal together, she also made sure I did not ruin my dress with food and provided me a long napkin to keep my dress clean. The in-house Florist Lindy was amazing. The talent she has is beyond measure. She will give you options for your budget and help you picture what you want then create it and exceed all my expectations. I have never seen such beautiful flower arrangements in my life. Overall between the access to great vendors, amazing food, excellent organization with the wedding process, and the amazing florist you can never go wrong with this venue. The bar was also amazing the champagne is amazing. Again Thank you Carl House ( Nicole, David, Kathy and the whole Carl House family)

My wife and I recently celebrated our 30th anniversary at The Carl House. It was exactly what we wanted, but even better. Kim was so nice and personable. She made us feel welcome and special. David and Kathy were also very accommodating. But Nicole Benson took the cake. She was so knowledgeable, helpful, and resourceful. She was accessible anytime we had a question or concern. I accidentally damaged our cake, and she just said, "That's okay, I'll take care of it and fix it up." She did and nobody noticed the damage. She also insisted on pleasing my wife on anything she wanted. Thank you Nicole for a job well done. Our friends all raved about the food, the beautiful venue, and grounds, as well as the wonderful waiters. We totally recommend The Carl House to anyone wanting a memorable experience.

Carl House is an incredible wedding venue! My husband and I got married here in October of this year and it was the most amazing day that was made possible by the most amazing venue team. Lindy, the in house florist, made our floral dreams come to life beyond what I thought was possible...seriously incredible. Nicole the day of coordinator ensured that everything went smoothly so that we were never concerned about anything except for having a great time - she literally helped me put my shoes on at one point. The food was AWESOME and overall the team was so helpful. The owner is very gracious and accommodating to all of our unique requests which was so appreciated. Highly recommend, thank you Carl House!!
