We waited forever for a drink and a fork for one guest to even eat. We were a party of 12 and they sang Happy birthday to one of our guest whose birthday was the next day and forgot to sing for our daughter who we were actually there for . Had to ask and remind them several times and the cook finally came back to sing after we had finished our food and was about to leave . Not a great experience as far as staff but we still enjoyed each other's company

After my recent visit to KOI, it's safe to say that the food exceeded expectations, offering a delightful culinary experience.The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and added to the overall dining experience.That being said, there were a couple of hiccups during our visit. And its fair to say it was rush hour: The wait time for our food was longer than anticipated, and our server seemed a bit rushed. Nevertheless, interactions with the staff remained respectful and friendly, which helped alleviate some of the inconvenience.Food portions are generous, ensuring that no one left the table hungry. Now, prices at the other hand are unbalanced…So overall, KOI provides a consistently good dining experience, albeit with a few minor quirks. If you're willing to overlook the occasional inconvenience, it's definitely worth a visit for the delicious food and inviting atmosphere.

Visited as part of a large party for a housewarming celebration. I heard it's a new spot in town with some competition on the same street. The wait time for walk-ins was about an hour and a half. We had a reservation and seated us once the majority of our party was there. The chefs were amazing, they had us laughing the entire time, and the food was delicious with generous portions. I'd visit again. Prepare yourself for the yum yuuuuuummmm (sake)!

I have enjoyed this restaurant for years and stopped by for lunch today. Ordered a new roll to try and ended up not liking it due to the amount of cream cheese in it. I had only eaten one slice of sushi when i asked them to remake it without the cream cheese. They refused to remake the roll for me because “cream cheese is listed on the menu”. The only way to have the roll remade for me was to pay for both rolls, even though i would have only eaten one. This was incredibly cheap of Koi and a terrible business practice. I could understand if i didnt want to pay for it, but i simply wanted something i would be able to eat.

I would have given 5 stars for service and overall rating but our last visit on 2/21/2024 at about 6pm was horrible! The hibachi my wife ordered had VERY little vegetables in it, we had to ask the waiter several times for an extra plate and after all the food was served except for my entree, which was only sushi, I ordered the Red Lovers (tuna nigiri, tuna rolls, and spicy tuna rolls). After several minutes I saw him and asked him where it was, he quickly brought it to me which tells me it had been ready and he just forgot to bring it. My water glass stayed empty but thankfully my wife had a glass of water also and she drinks slow. Needless to say he did not receive a tip. A very nice asian lady who worked there and seemed to be much more proficient at her work came by to give us to go boxes and our check. She also quickly brought the check back to us after we paid and thanked us for dining there.If it were not for this one experience I would have given 5 stars. The horrible waiter we had was a young white male who did not seem to want to work, I only mention that because we have been here several times before and always had amazing service, when the service is from the Asian people working there, not trying to say anything racial (I am a white male and my wife is an asian woman) I am only stating the facts of our own personsl experiences there and should the owner or manager read this I would like for them to know who I am mentioning by describing them since I do not recall their name. I do highly recommend this place though and definitely try the Wasabi Crackers!

10's across the board!!! I came here for the first time, for lunch date with my teenage daughters. From the greeting when you first walk in, to the freshness of the food, to service of the staff..to the cleanliness of the bathrooms...I was impressed!!! This is a true gem!!!
Ricky was our chef (red and black hat). WOWOWOW He needs to train everyone there! We have been there before and this time was 1000 better! He took care to pay special attention to all our allergies and review our orders!But the show he did while he cooked was amazing!!!!! Funny and so much fun for all the ages at the table!Food was delicious! Great portions for price!We live in Atlanta and all the hibachi places here are horrible! Please bring this to Dunwoody, GA 30338!Gorgeous restaurant and great food!Vegetarian options: They use margarine so as a vegan I could eat the veggie hibachi. Adding tofu would be great!Kid-friendliness: The kids loved the show!!!

This was my first time dining in the restaurant. The experience was good, the food that was prepared in the kitchen versus the food prepared in front of us wasn’t as tasteful.The cook was great and we all enjoyed my Niece’s birthday ??!!Thank you ?Dietary restrictions: I didn’t see on the menu for options for people with food restrictions as myself. This wasn’t a problem for me I have learned to adjust. But seeing the options on the menu would have been great. I have a very strict no seasoning diet.
