My family of 11 had dinner here on Saturday. The food and the service was great. The only issue was the potatoes was dry and plain, they can use some work. Other than that great place with great service!

Would love to have reviewed but the insane treatment to wait was horrible. Arrived at 5 on a Saturday afternoon...one couple ahead. They said 20 minutes wait. Waited 20 minutes and they called that couple. We were put on a screen porch with no heat and no chairs. A crowd began to come after us. Another 20 minutes later..a group that didn't get there before us was called. No restaurant is worth standing in the freezer with no seats.

Always on point! Delicious fresh seafood that's as good as you'll get on the coast. Their cole slaw is the best there is and I don't usually like coleslaw. Same for their made in house tartar sauce.

Before I went to the Jolly Roger restaurant I read the reviews as many people do before they try a new restaurant. Some of those reviews were very unkind, so I went to the Jolly Roger to see for myself on January 6th. It was fantastic. The food was fantastic. The selection of seafood was fantastic. But, I didn't write a review. I wanted to go another time to see if there would be a consistency from one visit to the next.I went again, a week later on January 12th. FANTASTIC again! You can see the photo of my shrimp and scallops dinner. It tasted as good as it looks!!! I'm from Miami and would LOVE to have a place like this near me.My wife had fried oysters on her first visit and swordfish on her second visit. As a seafood lover from Long Island New York, she raved about both selections. If we lived in Blue Ridge we'd probably go once a week for our seafood fix.Please don't let those few negative reviews deter you from the Jolly Roger. The people of Blue Ridge are very lucky to have place with such great and fresh seafood in town.PS...the staff were super friendly and could not have been more welcoming. For me, it was amazing to find such terrific seafood in a small mountain town. I just love the Jolly Roger and you will too!!!!

The food is absolutely the best quality no comparison to any other place in Blue Ridge. We have date night and go there to eat every week. I always get salmon blackened.. tonight I am gonna try the ribeye!!

Sad. Refused entry/service on a Friday night 30 minutes before closing, after driving an hour to eat there. Dining area had plenty of seating so that wasn’t the issue. FYI, lots of other excellent food options in Blue Ridge. I would skip right past this place - apparently they don’t want or need the business.

If I could give his place a zero I would. Me and my family visited the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georiga for Christmas. On 12/23/2023 at 4:00 pm my family and I went into the restaurant and was refused to be seated. We were advised that " if we seat ya'll (Black people), there will be nowhere else for our other customers to sit." That being seid, when we arrived there were only 4-5 other patrons present outside of our party and there was additional seating on the other side of the restaurant. We even advised that the group of us could be split up if that was the issue, but to no avail we were turned away, as an adult I can handle this, but for this to happen in front of our children was very unpleasant, hurtful and heartbreaking.
It was a very bad experience for me and my family. 18 of us went here to eat on Saturday before Christmas while Vacationing in the blue Ridge Georgia cabins. we were the 1st people to go in the restaurant and was told they can't serve us because we will take up the whole restaurant.I asked who is we and I asked again what is the problem, we have money just like anyone else. The young white hostess said again we can't serve yall. Walked to the back and started laughing and we left. It is sad that black people still can't be treated equal in society.All we wanted was to eat some good seafood.

Me and my family of 18 came to this establishment and they basically told my african american family they didn't want us to eat at their restaurant. Then tried to back track and say they didn't mean it like that.
