Pete's Place is okay for low maintenance sustenance. While the service was great, we were seated in a side room where it was lit with very bright ceiling lights with no natural light, this was near the cash register and bathroom. It was also close to other tables including a table of men that were having a good time, but talking loudly and the sounds echoed in the small area making it difficult to talk with those at my table. The area where the main door is felt very cozy and had a cabin feel, I wish we were put there instead. The food was not too pricey but the quality was just meh and it wasn't super substantial without getting items a la carte. I got the French toast and there were 2 slices for ~$7. I ordered bacon on the side for another ~$5. It was fine. My husband ordered a dish with 2 sides, 1 of them being the oatmeal. It was super dry and seemed like it was made hours earlier, not very edible. They had no dairy substitutes for milk/cream. For the ratings of this restaurant, I was disappointed with the quality of the food and atmosphere, was really hoping for more.Dietary restrictions: There wasn't much flexibility for dietary restrictions at all for dairy, this place would be best to avoid if you have allergies/sensitivities.

We approached this restaurant as out-of-town visitors. A relatively large group of 10. They sat us expediently despite our group size (they had to prepare a table). Food was good. We would go again!

Nice place with good food at a good price.Waitress could have been more attentive. It seems that every chance she could she was on her phone either texting or playing a game.I would go back but they really need to address staff. I had to flag down another to get refill on drinks.

Don’t like leaving negative reviews but man the food here was just bad. Sides were cold, they were missing menu items and the brisket was inedible. Would look for other options in Blue Ridge.

Prices are kinda high for poor people and people on fixed incomes. My 87 year old aunt & I were seated by the front door, where every time people came in, we had to endure the cold winter air. The young staff needs to Think about things like that. Food was good, but I don't think we'll be going back.
Coming from New Orleans, we expect a good cooked meal. That’s exactly what we got at Pete’s Place. We were quickly greeted and sat and loved the “homey” atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic and cooked perfectly. It was so good we at twice while we were in town and it was even better the second time. Not great. With tip I paid $12 for 1 egg, a couple strips of burnt bacon, small portion of microwave grits, and a coffee served on a Styrofoam plate. Didn't eat the bacon. The waitress was nice. Probably would not come again for breakfast.
