One of the cleanest Pilots I’ve seen. Props to the guy that was cleaning today.

I had to add this truck stop to Yelp! Is that weird? Maybe. But here me out. Days traveling on the road hours since our last stop in Atlanta. I am not a fan of Atlanta. Nothing good was open in Atlanta while we there for an overnight stay that was of any good service or quality. Bad hotel stay, bad fast food, and traffic that makes you reconsider if the price of airfare was really so bad to and from a remote part of Florida...Rest Areas and truck stops are an oasis in a desert of traffic delays and bad drivers. This Pilot Travel Center is of mention for the cleanest truck stop I've been in for quite some time. Clean is a hard thing to quantify for truck stops because you can't eat off a surface or would you want to really sit directly on a seat in one? But there was a shocking lack of paper waste on the floors or graffiti on the stall walls. The fast food location is why I felt the need to add this location most of all. There is a Wendy's attached to one end of the property and they had the best tasting food from a fast food location I have had in a very long time. This whole trip has been a slow voyage of the damned between the Ohio Valley and the Gulf coast. Fast food that was less than questionable on freshness and some locations where franchisees price gouged knowing they were the only game in town for about 80 miles around. $6.00 for a large and a medium fry from McDonald's in nowhere's-ville, Florida. Even back at home I can't bring myself to find a Wendy's with food that is this hot and fresh-tasting. I used to work for a Wendy's and some of our food was hard-pressed some days to meet this quality level. I wanted to make sure that fellow travelers know that when they debate about when and where to stop (and I have had this discussion along the route that others do have this internal debate) they seriously consider pulling in here for what we found was reasonably priced gas, food, and a couple of fast food options, one of which was the best Wendy's I'd tasted in years. They also seem to have e a Jr. double stack with bacon which I hadn't seen anywhere else. It seems like it should be expected, but this was such a surprising and rare delight I had to make sure others knew they are here. I hope my review will help you make a good decision on where to stop and when might be a better time to stop since there are multiple choices up and down this strip of hwy 75.

Update - The sub-par Diesel fuel at this Pilot cost me $752 to fix the damage to the Polution system on my Mercedes. The fuel was tested and it contained Bio-Fuels in excess of 5% which is the limit for automotive Diesels. Anything over 5% (B5) can and will damage your engine (see quote from Mercedes below). I am planning on avoiding Pilots and Flying J's as my other Mercedes with a Diesel engine has never experienced any of these types of problems and has never had Pilot nor Flying J fuel in its tank. I am going adopt BP and Shell as my primary fuel for my Diesel Cars (the second Diesel car has only had this fuel in its tank since new). Here is the quote from Mercedes - "B20 fuel can lead to fuel filter clogging and injector deposits, and can cause the engine oil level to rise due to unburned fuel washing into the oil pan. A clogged fuel filter as well as injector deposits can cause engine performance degradation while increased engine oil levels due to dilution by unburned fuel can cause engine mechanical damage."
