Highland Deli has become my go-to spot for lunch every Tuesday. I always opt for their build-your-own turkey sandwich, which is always fresh and delicious. The best part is pairing it with one of their homemade soups - they have a rotating selection that never disappoints. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it the perfect place to sit and enjoy a satisfying meal. I highly recommend Highland Deli for a tasty and convenient lunch option.

sunshine always!

Personality wise just fine! Food wise =awful the Ruben sandwich seems to have been made out of anger! The corn beef was not tender nor shaved the mustard was plastered all over both sides of the bread oosibg out the side and generic quality pepper jack cheese! The sandwich was prepared so messy it was impossible to eat it all! The chocolate was good! A $30 lunch was not worth a return!

Was passing through this little town and wanted to try this little cafe. Got there at 2:45 pm on a Friday and the sign was off, the door was locked and the guy inside was counting out the drawer. So much for closing at 3pm.

We’re from Huntsville and stayed at a nearby hotel last night. We wanted to try one of the mom and pop places in town for breakfast. Upon ordering, paying and tipping, we asked for the food to-go. We went and bought coffee at another mom and pop place and came back to pick up our order. Nobody told us prior that there are waitresses. No hostess stand and the couple who ordered after us was now eating at a table. We picked our food up and realized it’ll be hard on our 3 hour drive for our toddler to eat her breakfast in the car so we sat at an outside table. Immediately, an employee or owner came running out saying we can’t sit there because that’s how waitresses earn their living. She said we can sit on the bench or one of two tables in her section (?). There was one table taken out of seven outside. All 15-20 were empty inside the main restaurant. It’s a Monday morning at 10:30am. I managed multiple locations and my family owned a restaurant. We tipped at the register and NOBODY indicated there are waitresses. I definitely think there was a much better way to handle the situation instead of making us move to a bench. Ironically, a few minutes later, employees came out and sat at the same table and ate. The same “waitresses” or cashiers we just tipped for to-go food.I never assume things happen because we’re a lesbian couple but I literally can’t figure any other reason that you tell PAYING and TIPPING customers that they can’t sit in certain areas, especially when it’s EMPTY. Here is my 3 yr old eating on the bench wondering why we were kicked off the table but other people, including employees, can sit there.

I LOVE the Nathaniel sandwich. I tried it 10 years ago & the thought of trying another sandwich at Highland honestly makes me feel guilty. I haven't been able to try another. Lol! It has a unique fresh crunchy toasted bread & warm gooey comfort chicken & bacon ingredients. Soooo good!

We stopped here for lunch on our way through Carrollton and are so glad we did! Our chicken salad sandwich and etouffee (yes, at a Scottish influenced eatery!) with sides quickly disappeared. The broccoli salad was so good we bought a large order to take to our family getaway. The small restaurant was busy, but our server was pleasant and efficient. We hope to stop again the next time we’re in the area. An unexpected plus was Carrollton’s lively downtown, undoubtedly one of the most charming in Georgia! Even on a hot summer day, it’s shops, restaurants, and other businesses were bustling with college students, young families, office workers, and seniors. It’s quite appealing!

I came here for breakfast and decided to have the Scottish Plate (I think it was), with a pork pie, baked beans and salad, and added a sausage roll and a cup of tea. The tea was hot, the salad very god, the baked beans very British, and the pie and sausage roll were also very good. My only quibble would be with the pork pie. This one was filled with a stewed pork mixture. Traditional British pork pies have chunks of pork in aspic in the water pastry. Maybe it's a different type of pork pie, and there was nothing wrong with it (even the pastry was the classic style), but I was hoping for the traditional type. The sausage roll was fine. Definitely worth another visit, hopefully soon!
