“This is the Subway inside the Walmart. Stopped by today for an early lunch and was very impressed. The young lady working was pleasant, and extraordinarily efficient. Sandwiches were perfect! My only criticism is that the floors were dirty. Probably Walmart's job!“
“I wanted to write this review to express our sincerest appreciation for the kindness your employee showed my wife and I on Sunday, afternoon April 21’st, 2024. Regrettably, my father in law passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. We were traveling to Spruce Pine to begin coordinating the funeral arrangements. We hadn’t eaten all day (to be honest neither of us had any appetite) but we decided to stop and order a sandwich. The young lady working by herself took our order and began preparing our sandwiches. My wife went to use the restroom and I mentioned that we were on our way to North Carolina because my wife’s father had passed away. The associate offered her condolences. Upon finishing our order I went to pay for our two sandwiches and she politely explained there would be no charge. Despite my objections she simply would not allow me to pay. Her simple act of kindness at that very moment meant so much to us! I cannot thank your employee for being so caring. She demonstrates that our future generations have some amazing young people. I am sorry I did not get her name but hopefully the manager/owner will please pass on our appreciation. Thank you again! George & Andrea Tallent“
