I just don’t get it! All these great reviews. My husband & I both got chicken livers with slaw, okra, white gravy, cornbread and peach cobbler. The slaw was light brown color(old), the livers was very dark brown/black color, the gravy was gelatin like substance! Peach cobbler was tasteless and scorched. Also our clothes smelled like burnt grease after leaving the restaurant.

Best fried chicken. By some sorcery it is extremely crispy on the outside but still moist on the inside. We arrived after the lunch rush so we had to wait for the chicken to be cooked. Our sides included collard greens, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, and fried okra. All good.As for atmosphere...it's a diner. Clean is atmosphere enough for me.Excellent service, too.

Newly opened... First time on a weekend, place was packed. My only complaint is I didn't get the slice of meatloaf I expected. It was all crumbled up on a piece of foil. So much for my meatloaf sandwich when I got home.

This is the definition of a home cooked meal. OMG...the food was delicious. I had the catfish lunch meal and it was like WOW good. My server was very nice and helpful.

I tried the fried shrimp with one side special. The shrimp tasted okay for frozen fish with bad breading. The tarter sauce was good but the cocktail sauce tasted like tomato soup and with soup texture. For $11 I thought I'd be full but could have easily eaten this dinner four times and I'm not a big guy. I don't know if all the plates are skimpy.

Great for Southern comfort food. The fried chicken is excellent. Their desserts are delicious as well. The place is clean. One of the very few places you can get meat and vegetables.

You can get a biscuit most anywhere but if you want a real biscuit. This is the place food is a 5 service. Is a 5 and the atmosphere is a vibe. I suggest anyone visiting this area to try this out. The lunch specials are great and they always have something delicious For dessert homemade .
