My third time back and this place is always a go to when I come to Atlanta. Everything I've ever had here is great. The ox tail & fried catfish is absolutely phenomenal. You have to try both. The sides here are endless and all an A+. Our favorites were the collard greens & candied yams. The service is so vibrant and kind. The whole experience is wonderful and the customers and staff made it all the more special. Eating in is a must as the place is charming. End your dinner any of the three cobblers. They are incredible!

The food was delicious. I had oxtails and rice, macaroni and cheese, and collards. The greens were way too sweet and tasty creamy for some reason. Did not enjoy those as much. The corn muffin was a little hard. The catfish was 10/10 and red velvet cake was good as well. Will definitely be back

Good customer. This restaurant has a wide variety of food to offer. I had the Alabama Chicken Pasta. It was delicious, however the name is misleading. It doesn't come with pasta. It's a melody of peppers, broccoli, onions, and chicken. It is cooked in a white sauce, but not Alfredo. It also came with 2 sides that was included in the price. They also have a steady flow of customers which is a good sign. Overall I had a great experience.

maybe not being from Georgia I have different taste buds. Those collard greens are NOT good . I'm sorry . I've been here twice , the first time I went it was MID.. when I drove past it the other day, I couldn't remember what I didn't like about it. I FOUND OUT . But the southern food here in ATL don't do it for me.

I come to Atlanta for work often and I ALWAYS make time to stop at Big Daddys! The food has never missed and they fill your plate all the way...no stingy servings here! They have sooooo many options and the staff is always nice. When I went in this particular trip, the line had about 25 people in it and I didn't hesitate to wait! This is not a fancy, celebrity owned spot where the food is hit or miss...this is your local, soul food spot with the good homemade fruit punch where you KNOW you're gonna leave satisfied. Do yourself a favor and stop by!

I came here for some good soul food and southern hospitality and I got both! I ordered the oxtails on yellow rice with Mac n cheese and collard greens. The oxtails were too salty for my taste, but were quite tender and yummy nonetheless . And the yellow rice was slightly hard. But the Mac n cheese and collard greens were so delicious, maybe the best I've ever had. I wish I could have tried all the main proteins! They had so many to choose from, from smothered pork chops to fried chicken to fried fish. I recommend this place!

Food: the food always give me an aftertaste that makes me nauseous. The service is what I expect being on Old Nasty Nat (that's what we call old national hwy, tourists) and the ambiance gives me very worn. I would sit down to eat if there was an active shooter outside, it kinda stinks in there. But the juice and dessert is delicious! Actually the safest option in my opinion!!!

Great place . Food good . Do not go on a Sunday line is very long about 2 hour wait just to pay for food . Then you have special customers that comes in to jump line by paying cash to the servers and they fix their plates before you and check them out. Which is so unfair that we waited in a 2 hour line but of course $$$ was presented for special treatment. This was my last time eating here when I saw that happen .
