The food was great, but the hibachi chef was not so great. He intentionally tried to make a kid at our table cry, and didn’t seem to get any of the orders right, and made fun of us for not correcting himKid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all at least for the experience we had

One of the servers was rude and looked bothered when my husband asked for a different high chair because the one we received had what looked like baby's throw-up, they took forever to bring the drinks and never asked if we wanted a refill. The seafood volcano was not worth the price, but the hibachi was pretty good.

Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs I had the unfortunate displeasure of dining at this restaurant tonight, and I must say, it was one of the most infuriating experiences I've had in recent memory. We were left standing at the entrance for over an hour and a half before being seated. What's even more frustrating is that we were repeatedly assured by the staff that we were next in line to be seated. However, time and time again, we watched as groups who arrived after us were seated before us. It was utterly disrespectful and unprofessional. When we finally were seated, the service was lackluster, and the cook took an eternity to arrive. The quality of the food did not make up for the abysmal service and the sheer disrespect shown to us as customers. I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save yourself the headache and find somewhere else to dine where your time and patronage are valued.

I’ve had hibachi in 5+ states. This was possibly the worst. We went NYE and the food was average at best. The chef was less than an amateur and kept giving extra food to a family that didn’t even end up tipping him and the place is dated. The service was good but I definitely won’t be coming back.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Mikata's! The server and chef at our table were exceptional, creating an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere. The steak and chicken dishes were absolutely delicious, showcasing the culinary skills of the chef. My only regret was missing out on the extra soup instead of the salad. Nevertheless, a delightful evening with outstanding service and mouthwatering food at Mikata's.

I was seated at the corner of the table with no room for my food and right on top of someone. I couldn’t even get up to the table to enjoy my food and took it to go. Very uncomfortable and terrible experience.

Had the habichi shrimp, chicken and scallops. Off top the food was good but the quantity was mediocre for the price I paid. First Japanese restaurant with no noodles !! It came with some type of broth and some lettuce " I guess a salad ". I would go back again if they matched the food with the price.Parking: Its packed but still plenty of space

We came in for dinner and had the hibachi dinner. They don't have regular dining tables other than the ones at the sushi bar/bar, and don't take reservations under 20 people. The food was pretty good. Not great though. The sushi we ordered had way too much rice. So we were stuffed before we got to our main meal. I had the shrimp and scallops hibachi which came with fried rice, vegetables, soup, and salad. The fried rice was great and the proteins were cooked nicely. The vegetables were a little too salty but overall would recommend this place to anyone visiting Columbus. And each meal comes with dessert! We had orange sherbert.

I came for take out and got steak hibachi, no noodles or vegetables, with an additional portion of meat (steak). It was 38 dollars. That was surprising, but I still went for it. The food was good, for sure! I didn't quite think it was enough food for nearly 40 dollars, even with the extra portion of meat. Fyi there were nearly no customers, and this was 6:30 PM.But I will say, even with the price being high and the portions medium sized, the food was very tasty!! If the price was more reasonable, I would consider going again.

I eat there often and my dogs love the fried rice and anything I bring home that is not harmful for their body!! Actually they eat better than I do!! Anything I bring into my house as leftovers seems to never quite make to the refrigerator right?? Haha ?The owner, his son and waitresses + bartenders and anyone else I have come have been really (patient?) with me for the most part as I hardly ever drink and I get the hot tea or coffee ☕ if available. I don't eat Suchi but every other Hibachi dish I have tried is delicious. Great place for family events and gatherings!Kid-friendliness: Kids are very welcome and I enjoy them being thereWheelchair accessibility: I have seen plenty of people including personal friends with various handicaps enjoy a meal in this establishment.
