Terrible experience! Visiting town, stopped to have breakfast, ordered our food, was told to have a seat, 20 minutes later, no food, we go up front and no one knows what we ordered! We were 1 of 2 tables, so they weren’t busy. In the process of us trying to tell them our ordered, they cussed us out. Save your time and money! Don’t recommend this establishment!

Hadn't been to this restaurant for several years. So wanted to try again. Noticed the store was cleaner and updated with curtains and new table tops. The kitchen staff was pleasant and helpful. We had chicken and fish. Both were good. Sides were Mac and cheese, turnips, peas, green beans. Vegetables were just straight out of can. Just so so. Biscuit was good. Tea was good. And had bread pudding. I know times have changed but thought was a little overpriced at $25.

This is a great local spot to get a good breakfast. There seems like a good group of regulars here that make it feel like a community spot.

The last 3 times I have went to the location on hwy 278 they were closing no where near the scheduled time. One time it was 10:30 and they were cleaning the grill and only selling the food in the warming pans. They said they were closing at 11 and not cooking anything else. The employees are always at each other’s throats. (There seem to be only 2 or 3 employees who are nice and not complaining or fussing). This location has changed terribly. I rarely post reviews, but after several disappointing visits, I felt I should. We will not be back to this location.

Great service. Friendly staff. And the food is so good that most of the time, cars are backed up all the way to the highway! Yeah! It's that good...soul food. And they have brown gravy!Parking: Be patient because there's always a lot of customers, and you may be in the backed up line of cars, but there is a good amount of parking spaces...in the back of the building as well.
