This was my first and only visit. Was in for a surprise regarding where you sat to eat. It was uncomfortable to say the least. The food was okay but over priced for what it was. I will not go back again!

Parking: Walden's is very popular. Though somewhat difficult, a minor inconvenience.
Call orders in ahead, dine in or eat outside on picnic tables. Great catfish, catfish strips, ff, coleslaw, awesome yummy hushpuppies. Barbeque , stew, soft drinks, iced tea. Very family oriented. Really I believe this is the only place around Covington for a catfish dinner. Come one, come all enjoy. Nice folks to hang with and be around!

Hubby & I went to dinner tonight (Friday) for the 1st time, and we were honestly throughly impressed! We had catfish filets, chicken fingers, okra, cheese grits, fries & hush puppies and Brunswick stew..We're so full and already planning our next meal there!Go!!! You won't be disappointed!!!!
Great experience! The catfish filets were big and meaty, the fried okra and French fries were crispy, and the baked beans were delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating available which was nice. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

What can I say, but OMG!!! The entire experience was phenomenal.. the staff was soooooo friendly and happy to see us. The food was off the chart AMAZING!! You had the choice to sit outside or sit in their spacious dining room with huge picnic tables! Everything was soooooo clean, too, despite them being busy!! I must say even the bathroom was spotless, and the decor in there made it feel like home!! This was my families first visit there but I can guarantee it won't be the last!! Well done, guys, you've got a new loyal customer!!
Roadside fried food stand. All window/counter service with some outside tables and a separate building with some tables and chairs.The good: Fantastic fried shrimp. Nice breading on the chicken tender which was made of a full cut of white meat chicken. Ribs were tender and tasty. Portions were generous without being wasteful. The folks working there were polite, attentive, friendly, and working hard.The bad: 2 adults and two kids was $75. Way WAY too much for fried food in a styrofoam container with tiny to-go packaged utensils. Fries were frozen crinkle cut, undercooked, and had exactly zero grains of salt. The Brunswick stew tasted like it should be called "shredded chicken ketchup soup." Cole slaw was cabbage and onion, under sauced, not seasoned. Service was attentive but took a long time to receive food. Sweet tea didn't taste fresh, so we traded it in on sodas. Daughter said her hotdog was "stadium mid" which I assume isn't a compliment.Overall: it was fine. Hopefully it was an off day.
