Kani house used to be the best place to get hibachi in the area, but twice I have come here recently and be made to wait. This time is the final time. Had a 7:30 reservation, sat at 7:45, but still waiting for chef at 8:53. Unreal. Miles, the manager, was unapologetic saying he only has three chefs and it is the holiday season. Hire some more chefs or get used to comping food. Be honest with people up front, so you don't disappoint them after they have been sat. Don't waste your time here unless you want to wait hours to eat. Well a little too fast on the draw. The manager did discount our food, so much appreciated.

1st visit to a Japanese Steakhouse in decades and may I say that the food and presentation was on point. The waitress was pleasant and helpful and the Chef put on a show that was worthy of our return. We were seated up front near the door facing the beverage machine therefore the ambiance wasn't what we're used to. Lastly I'll note that the establishment is a bit worn/dated and there appeared to be a few tables with toddlers, so if you want good food at a fair price in a family styled atmosphere you won't be disappointed.

We typically really enjoy sushi from Kani House, but we've never gotten it to go. That is a fail. Their to-go sushi was soggy and the fried rolls were barely warm. Either they left the sauce off or it all soaked it, but either way, there was no sauce. We'll eat there again, but we will not get it to go. We spent $60 and it was a total waste.

Best gluten-free hibachi around!! The portions and prices are very good. The service was just ok, but it didn't really matter because the food made up for it! We love coming here!

Sushi was decent but the other items on the menu were pretty bad. Fried rice that came in bento was rancid, asked to speak with a manager to inquire how they make their fried rice... instead of visiting the table she sent a server to present our check with $4 off. What a joke, last thing we cared about was $4 considering we spent over $150 for 3 people. The fact that she couldn't even give a table visit when requested shows the lack of customer service in this establishment. Will not return!

Really good and service was quick and good also. The food was good and portions were very good size. Definitely recommend sushi and habachi as both are very good

I had my son's birthday today and he was so excited to have dinner at Kani House in Cumming. First of all they put us at a table where 6 family members were sitting already and they were looking at us like seriously!......shef was very nice and entertaining. My son and other side of table, family member , had a birthday also so at the end 2 servers( one I found out was a manager) gave the bday umbrella to the person on the other side and started singing for her while one person from that family told the server that, this boy also has a birthday and it's not fair but they just completely ignored. Then I asked the server that my son has birthday too why you not singing for him, he simply said SORRY. It was such a embarrassing moment for us. It's just unbelievable and I was not expecting that at kani House. Simply very rude and unprofessional. Not going to this location again.

Place has great food, but terrible service. Called in to place order and placed on hold. I live pretty close so i figured they must be busy i will just go in and eat. The individual pictured picked up several phone calls and placed them on hold while playing on her phone. I had to seat myself because the 3 employees were just chatting and not paying attention to people coming in. I waited for the manager, but he was busy running around doing to go orders. This place is losing money because of the front desk!

Not good at all…hibachi chicken was over cooked and dry, vegetables little burnt, and sashimi and sushi and rolls were not good and didn’t seem as freshEspecially didn’t like how they bagged the sushi with the hot hibachi food making the sushi/sashimi warmWill not be back

Today something happened weird. Actually, we are fans of Japanese food and sushi. And we have been there couple times before. But today I realized, how bad was everything. Can you imagine, when I ordered the tea, it wasn't really tea, when I tested. It was like baking soda miso soup. When I said to the waiter about that, they said it happened because soap was in the kettle after dishwasher! No sorry, no excuses, just explaining, like it's usually . So, before dinner I already got some soap. Then chicken was dry, ice cream was bad too. So, after soap, I don't want to get any soup. No more Kany House!
