From the reservation process and changes, to John who greeted us, Cat who took care of our table and Ray, the manager, who stopped by to check in with us, the customer service is stellar. The views of the vineyard are stunning. The food and wine were absolutely superb- (get the short rib). We wanted for nothing, this was one of the greatest experiences we’ve had in Georgia.

Went here last night with my wife after a co-worker recommended it. Had a very pleasant experience, though there was a little confusion. There are two restaurants here: the upper restaurant, which is a little pricier and is geared more towards high-end dining and wine tasting; and the lower restaurant, which is geared more towards families and casual dining. We went to the lower restaurant, which was fine, but the online menu that my wife saw for this place was for the upper, so she had to reboot her meal plans when we were seated. Our waiter, Jake, was very friendly and informative. He explained the differences between the two restaurants, and the origin of the winery. He also helped my wife make an entree selection, since she leans towards being a vegetarian. The atmosphere was very nice. The view was nice, as well, even though late winter in Georgia tends to be a little dreary. I got the chicken parmesan, which was tasty, but just as important, HUGE. I've got a big appetite, and I was served up two VERY large chicken fillets on a bed of spaghetti (I actually couldn't finish it all, which is saying something). My wife got a smaller entree, which she enjoyed. We went in for dessert, as well, and my wife got the apple crisp, which she thought was delicious, and I got the tiramisu (pictured), which was sweet, creamy, and, again, LARGE. We'll be going back!Parking: Limited paved parking around the building itself, but a very large gravel parking lot next to it, within walking distance.

We arrived at 4:30 for a 6:30 reservation. We wanted to enjoy the outside having a drink first. It was a nice day and were able to see a wedding. But the amount of flies was incredible. We did have a reservation and asked if we could be seated sooner. After the hostess figured out where to seat us, it took 20 minutes to get acknowledged, 30 more minutes to get our drinks. Our server was working hard, so I don't think it was her inattentiveness. They do have men in coats and young men in golf logo shirts helping fill water, running food out to tables. But not one helped our table. We ordered 1 appetizer, 1 salad, 2 pizzas, and a pasta dish. The pasta never came we had to ask for that to be packaged to-go. The burrata caprese app had 4 cherry tomatoes cut into half with a fist size of the burrata. The flavor was good, but for $18, definitely felt it should have been more. Pizza was nothing to rave about. Never refilled water or bread and had to beg for beers. We were there 2.5 hrs from 6-8:30. We had heard great things, so were sad we had an experience that will probably lead us not to return.

Haven’t had a chance to try the other items on the menu, but the pizza here is amazing! Authentic Naples style wood fired oven pizza that is the real deal.

This place has the best view and ambiance without paying the price of the sister restaurant next door. The property itself is well maintained. Perfect for all celebration gatherings: weddings, baby showers, birthdays, graduation, etc. The service and food were excellent; I recommend this winery for one of the "Must See in Dahlonega."

It truly is a beautiful place, with great drinks and decent service. I shared the carbonara and a pizza with a friend and I'm not sure what went wrong but the carbonara was incredibly bitter. We could barely even eat it, it was very disappointing. Thankfully the pizza was good, but for the price, I cannot believe how bad the pasta was. So much potential here with consistent dishes and service!

One of my absolute favorite places to eat! The food is always delicious! I love that they change their menu seasonally but keep the favorites. I have never had anything but delicious food here and the drinks and bar staff are great! The views of the winery and mountains can't be beat and Montaluce has some very good wine to pair with your meals

Went today for Valentine’s Day, and the service + food was phenomenal. Their pizza is probably the closest to true Italian pizza that I’ve been able to find - most places don’t even compare! Our server was very friendly and attentive, and the charcuterie board was a great starter for us. Great fruit, cheese, & meat selection. Overall a great experience and we will be coming back!

I'm going to go ahead and say this place has potential. My husband and I went this weekend for date night but didn't want the "fancy" vibes of the upstairs main restaurant and had heard about the Trattoria. We made reservations for 7pm. We were sat within a reasonable amount of time considering how busy it was. The first thing I will say is coming from the main wine tasting bar the ambiance was totally different. The hostess and servers upstairs were dressed neat in casual black, and looked very nice. The Trattoria servers were disheveled, and wore baggy t-shirts and jeans but the managers were in suits so I thought that was so odd considering it's not a "sports bar" and they're serving plates averaging $30 per meal and $12 dollar bread and garlic bulbs.Next, we ordered drinks and the bread service because who doesn't like bread and garlic!? The bread was warm, and delicious. Probably the best part of the meal. I'm so glad we ordered it as well because our food took well OVER 45 minutes. I ordered the Rigatoni Carbonara and my husband tried the pizza. The rigatoni was overdone, and underdone at the same time (didn't know that was possible), chewy, stuck together and flat. The best part was the fresh parmesan on top. The pizza was OK - probably would try a different one next time. The dough was sour and very salty and our pizza had prosciutto and olives which only added to the salt factor.I did enjoy the drinks however, I tried the Strawberry & Rosemary Martini and the Huckleberry Margarita which were both delicious.Overall, I think it has potential. The details matter to people like me (I know, not everyone, and that's ok). It's the image of the restaurant. It felt it was still nice enough (and expensive enough) to not be so overly casual. The pasta was the biggest downfall for me. Not sure if we'll be back but if I go and it's better I will update.

Service is a little off, they are not rude but also they dont know how to problem solve. Food is good, not great. Ambiance is amazing outside and inside the restaurant is ok.

The pizza is so great!! If there's an event you want to watch there are plenty of screens, but not a pub atmosphere. Definitely visit!
