This black owned and operated business in the South DeKalb area of Decatur, Georgia, is by far my favorite place for FANTASTIC Desserts. One of my coworkers brought a slice to me for my birthday one year, and I've been hooked ever since. Anytime my family plan parties or any kind of celebration, I'm asked to bring a cake or two from A Little Slice of Heaven. I speak of your business all the time. I've even posted pics of these cakes on my social media pages for others that live here or near here to be able to enjoy the pure decadence of fabulous cakes like my family and friends.

Yesterday I tried the butter pecan cheesecake and it was very delicious. The only problem was I felt sick and had some bad food poisoning afterwards. The cake was good but the aftermath wasn't.

Amazing! my husband and I stopped in for the first time and there was quite a selection of cake slices and other treats. We decided to split a slice of the lemon cake with lemon frosting. Soo delicious! The frosting tasted like buttercream and was rich and creamy without being too sweet, the cake was moist and had a lovely lemon flavor. Friendly service, we are happy we stopped by and will be returning to try the coconut cake :)

No Old-Fashioned Coconut Cake...but I think I found my favorite-favorite...that Almond Cake w/Almond buttercream frosting!!! Man!! Icing on point, keep same amount occasionally. Can't wait to purchase again... Shoutout to the gentleman (name unknoen) behind me who highly suggested the Almond cake!!

I drive 20 miles one way every weekend- and it's worth it. I've tried bakeries all over metropolitan Atlanta. The few with good food often have questionable cleanliness and horrible service. The ones that are clean with good service frequently have "hipster" bake goods that taste like garbage. For a bakery that gets it right on all levels, go to A Little Slice of Heaven!

Mel and her team are the best! I had a 50th birthday party and they did my cake for me. That cake was absolutely amazing! Ms Violet, Tracy and Dion are are great and was so kind to me because I know I was driving them crazy but they took care of me. I will order from them again!! You will not be disappointed with the service or the quality of the product. I’m so happy I found them!!

I had the pleasure of working with Melanie and her team to bake a bridal shower and wedding cake for a friend. Both cakes were AMAZING!! Everyone I talked to at the bakery was very nice and helpful and Melanie was outstanding to work with on the wedding cake. She paid attention to every detail! The bride and groom thought the cake was perfect and all the guests enjoyed every bite. I HIGHLY recommend!!

My co-worker wanted a strawberry cake for his going away party so I ordered the 10 inch strawberry. I called the store to place my order on Tuesday, she called me and let me know my cake was baked and ready to be picked up, which i did on Wednesday at 530. That was the best 3 layer strawberry cake my co-workers and i have had in a long time.!! When i opened the box you could smell the strawberries, the cake was soo moist and the icing was fabulous, the presentation was on point. We served about 25 folks and EVERYBODY loved the cake, we found a WINNER! I love the new look, the remodeled shop is beautiful on par with the new cupcake shops, love the changes! I have actually been to the shop when the mother owned it, the quality of the baked goods are just as good! Keep up the good work.
