This place is a staple of our local restaurant rotation. The staff is efficient, friendly, and accommodating. The food is consistently delicious, portions are an incredible value, drinks are always on point, etc. Only friction point for me is the bathroom setup (single person bathrooms that can be tough to get in/out of when it’s busy), but that’s minor. After all, we’re there for the great food/atmosphere. Vecino never fails to deliver on both fronts! Also, if you’re a vinyl lover, the record store (right next door) is spectacular!

Consistently good, different Mexican style food. They smoke their own meats, so that’s always a good bet. My personal favorite is the smoked salmon quesadilla. It comes with a very unique dipping sauce, unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere.

Neighborhood taqueria that has been very consistent over the years. One of my favorite lunch spots as my office is very close by. Taco Tuesday and daily specials, a fresh salsa bar, nice little patio if the weather is good keeps me coming back.

The food was delicious. The waiter seemed anxious and forgot to ask if we’d been there before. He brought us cold chips and didn’t let us know about the salsa bar until later on. The atmosphere was not Mexican at all. The next time I would order takeout. The food was delicious.

I wrote a review of El Vecino eight months ago and have probably visited more than a dozen times since then (okay, maybe 20 times). This update is to implore diners to not miss this place! The carnitas on hatch chile grits has only gotten better. Mole enchiladas - awesome... and the range of margaritas is enviable. (Shoutout to spicy ones.) I'll addicted. You will be, too.
