I went into Thali tonight, and was greeted by the hostess. I sat at one table with the comfy cushions, and ordered Veggie Kofta. What I did not expect was for it to come out in ten minutes and come out as if it were a packaged, microwaveable ready to eat meal. Mind you, although it was okay, I would have expected it to be freshly made, versus how it looked. What was also saddening was even though the hostess was tending to those who wanted pani puri, and got to me as soon as she did, there was no other staff to help her. Also, the atmosphere felt not only dim, but it also gave a sense of emptiness, even though people came in, it didn't feel home like or a dhaba atmosphere. The music was definitely a positive, because they played old songs (let's face it - old is gold, yet a touch of the modern is also needed for the younger generations). If anything, despite the Covid situation, I would like to see Thali become the #1 thali restaurant to not only bring in old and new clients alike, but also bring in exceptional quality food, exceptional customer service, and bring back the fun and vibrant atmosphere of a dhaba or of home, when having guests over.

Do not give your catering (wedding, baby shower etc) orders to this people. They will take your advance and not perform, communicate. Owner and son won’t answer your phone re working it out. Will leave your event and you hanging up in air. Food is mediocre, done they can’t keep a set chef/profile. they are just waiting for trouble to come from IRS audit, Dep of Rev and DPH. One star is for their existing staff who have to deal with the owners.

This place just got renamed from Thali to Dabang. The food is much better now, not as watery and has a lot of flavor. I recommend the Punjabi thali, mixed veg pakora, papad, or veg samosa. The service sucks and the wait staff will basically ignore you. That part hasn’t changed a bit.

Today i found a gem of a restaurant named Thali at Decatur Atlanta. I should say the Kathiyawadi and Gujarati thali were at pick of the taste. My family loved the food. Very satisfied.

Worst customer service. Kid was taking orders and serving food. He seems to be upset and have no interest to qork. Food was ok. Dont eat either punjabi/ gujarati thali, both of them were aweful.

Really bad customer service. They forgot our food and when asked they simply said we gave your order to someone else and now we have ran out of thaali. Showed no empathy, no apology nothing. Would never go there again.

The ambience was good. And that is the only positive thing about the place. Service is very slow. Punjabi thali was not good at all. The parantha was undercooked and curries were tasteless. Overall the food seemed stale.

I would like to give 5 stars for the food and zero stars for the run up to the wedding of my daughter in May 2022The food was extremely delicious and all our guests enjoyed it very much during the Sangeet night and the lunch for the Wedding CeremonyHowever it was a nightmare to get any response from Dhaval who we had to keep emailing texting etc to get him to answer our queries.Although we enjoyed the food very much we will NEVER call Thali again for any of events because to get any kind of communication from Dhaval is a nightmare experience as his communication skills and customer service is extremely patheticHimanshu Joshi

We placed an order through grubhub pick up and found out upon arrival that the restaurant has changed their name and no longer accepts orders. The owner basically told us he can't do anything about it and asked us to cancel the order. Grubhub tried calling the restaurant and obviously no one answered. they shouldn't take orders and charge us when they are clearly not preparing it.
