Cool, small shop on Buford Hwy. Nice lil selection of skewers. There was more I wanted but I didn't want to get too much being by myself. Definitely wanna go back with some friends. The staff was helpful in letting me know of the options. Once I was ready, I filled out the paper form of my selections, and every few minutes they were delivering my choices fresh and hot to my table. There was some options that weren't the most flavorful of those meats. I've had better elsewhere, but most were awesome. Still an overall solid place. Perfect for a small group or even solo.Give them a try if you're into getting skewers in a nice quaint environment

Went there with my friend. Pay for 600+ for some disgusting food. The old lady give our nasty attitude throughout our dinner. Charge our extra on some thing we didn’t order. Charge our 3.50 for Fanta orange which is 1.50 for the coke products. Before we went out the door, she curses at us. Will never be back again. Will give 0 star if I can.

The food is average, pretty pricey if you consider from the portion. We waited pretty long time before they completed the order.

We did not see the menu online, as the website was down. It turned out that the food was fabulous and authentic. The memory of my childhood all came back. I love their bread, hot dog, and lamb the most! It would be cheaper if you pay in cash, because extra percentage will be charged for card payment. The other thing is the environment and service can be wanting if you are not used to this kind of grass-root street food semi self-service Chinese restaurant owned by a couple with a young kid. The cats playing outside the glass door were very fun to watch.

Food is average, you can get better somewhere else. The food isn’t the issue. The old lady/Owner(?) discriminates against non-Chinese people, especially Taiwanese people. Knocked into me on multiple occasions while I was waiting in line, which is whatever. However, we said the food is for “to-go” using colloquial Taiwanese Mandarin. The second those words were spoken, the lady immediately began talking to us in a disrespectful and mocking manner for the rest of time. She was very condescending. Customers who were mainland Chinese were looking at her confused and shocked. We were nice to her because we’ve never encountered such blatant racism at any other Chinese eatery, however very shocked as well. The food wasn’t good enough to endure that experience. I’ll leave it at that.

Best skewers in town. Share parking lot can be troublesome on holiday or weekend well worth it.

It was my first time here and I came here around 9pm on a weekday. Staff was friendly but rude at the same time. I had no idea what to order so I ordered on the fly. Wasn’t very satisfied with the food whatsoever but I will give them another try. Didn’t have any of the skewers. I wouldn’t recommend getting their wings. I forgot what I actually ordered but one of the items were super chewy but that was my bad for not knowing what I was ordering

- I would give this place 0 star if I could. Don't come here you you want to walk out of here mad!!! The service was so bad for people who don't speak Mandarin. I came in, the old lady couldn't understand me, I was trying to explain to her & she just cut me off and said "wait". Then, she just left me hanging for 20 mins before she came back for me to continue my order. - The place was also extremely dirty with dishes and food left all over the counter. - No receipt was given to me, no communication of when my order will be ready. - I was left standing there for another 30 mins. Waited for 30 mins for some skewer that's frozen & has no seasoning?? Waste of time and money!!

The Lamb skewers at $15 were a bit overpriced for the amount of food you get. The Chinese seasoned bread was very good. The fish cakes were very good. No "sauces" were offered except for a mild pepper flake oil and some unknown spice in a shaker. The shrimp skewer come with shell and head on and they were flavorful, but lol, the appearance was off putting to a Buddy of mine (come on - really?). The interior of he restaurant is small and crazily seems to contain 5 or 6 large video slot machines, though I have no idea whether they are just for fun (legal) or if a person puts in real money for real money losses or gains (which if the case would likely not be kosher). The video slots are distracting and completely out of place in a restaurant. The food came out hot and relatively quick. The persons taking the money and serving were not particularly friendly, and bordered upon indifference and reluctantly and resentfully there, taking orders and serving food. Definitely an unhappy staff. Overall, there are probably better skewer options with no video slots and friendlier staff. There are so many restaurant options on Buford Highway, there's no compelling reason to go back to this place. Sad, but true.

Honestly thought I'd never write a 1 star review, until I ate here. Walked in to a restaurant with my wife on a Saturday. Noticed about 6 lottery machines lined up against the wall. Thought that was off, but whatever, it's not my business. Looking past that, we were sat down next to, presumably, the owners child. Now my parents used to take me to their work, when I was a child, so I get it. It's not easy work rasing a child. But when you've got one kid running around, YouTube video on full blast, screaming at random times, it makes it a little hard to enjoy a meal. Food was subpar. Most of the meat skewers were small, fatty pieces. Don't even bother with anything seafood related. It's all frozen. $16 for 6 frozen scallops; what a slap to the face. Some items were better than others in terms of quality, so it's hard to make a blanket statement. Overall, disappointed. I know good customer service, it's my job. This place needs work from that standpoint. Passing off a the credit card processing fee to the customer after they spent $80, but only communicate that after you bring the check. That's shady. Also, if I don't want to box food to take with me, I don't have to. I paid for it. Don't argue with the customer, demanding they take food they didn't enjoy. This place left a sour taste in my mouth. Never coming back here considering there are so many better restaurants down within a .5 mile radius.

Great skewers. Had the beef, lamb (not pictured), and chicken. Going to go back and try others.

do not come here if you're looking for fancy decor and a formal sit down dinner! this is a great hole in the wall vibe place with down-to-earth employees and tasty, flavorful food. this place is one of the only places in the area open late where you can get a real meal, which i appreciate. the food is authentic, and the employees care for their customers. some menu items we enjoyed: classic lamb skewers, wonton soup (my dad LOVED), and potato shreds

From the past pictures king skewer seem to have been thriving at some point, but seem to have gone down hill based on my recent visit. They didn't seem to be open, but their door was propped open and their open sign was lit up. Upon entering I guess the staff was a bit thrown off because the worker asked if I knew this was a Skewer restaurant. The cook came out and greeted me and took my order. The lamb was pretty good, and I was a bit surprised due to how every thing else looked around the restaurant but I guess you can't judge a restaurant by its interior decor. They had casino games inside and a random tire, there was also caulk splatters all around. Based on what I had, it was a decent snack bite. I would rate it higher but because of the comfortability for dine in I had to knock off a few stars. I hope to see them get back to their glory days.
