Comfort food. Industrial decor.I've been here several times over the past few years. My Colombian friends recommend it with a smile.The name translates to something like "Grandma's Delights." Grandmas must be very different in Colombia. It feels like an industrial pub with big televisions, a bar, neon signs, and mostly picnic tables inside.The service is always quick and friendly. However, there's a real language barrier and they've had to go find someone anytime that I asked a question about the menu. By the way, the menu is online and you can see what they have, in fact, the bartender pointed me to the QR code to look at the menu. It's a big menu with tiny writing and it took me a little while to figure out what I wanted. I'd look at it ahead of time.This time, I had lomo de cerdo (grilled pork). The meals were attractive in their presentation, each time that I've visited. You can see in the picture that it's a beautiful piece of meat. It was tough and chewy. The fries underneath it were not hot. The strip of plantain, however, was delicious. The slices of avocado were fresh. The meal was interesting and filling, but not worth repeating. My other meals were similar. The last time I was here I had ribs that were also attractively presented and more filling than delicious.I came here, in part, because I'm interested in arepas. These arepitas were flat, chewy, flavorless little patties of undercooked cornmeal. It may be the first time that I actually just left the arepas. Normally I cannot help myself but to finish them.This place is always busy, and there's something that I'm obviously missing about its appeal. Maybe, that it has a busy vibe with generous portions and alcohol at a good price. When I mention this place, my Colombian friends always smile and suggest that I go back.Dietary restrictions: It is fairly easy to order a meal that is gluten-free and dairy-free here. However, if you need to discuss the menu, you need to speak Spanish. Whenever I ask, I fail to get good answers.Parking: This place is always busy, often. I come by for lunch but don't stop because there's no parking. There's always parking in the shopping center next door, but it's a little walk.
