So we tried it out! The Yi Fang Classic - was ordered by some in my group. They said it was the truth, filled with real fruit and tasted simply sweet and fresh. I opted for the Pearl Black with soy milk it had a nice flavor, robust black tea experience with light spice, but they only had soy milk and whole milk options so if you are lactose intolerant or watching your soy intake that can be a problem. The most important reason to come to this place is the ambience was so zen fabulous. It looked beautiful on the inside, calming, cool colors, tons of different seating options and outlets. They even have a small conference room that you could close off. It's good but not the best or super best I have had. If you are in the area it's a vibe.

I have been told great things about this place so, I thought I would give today a try! I ordered the YiFang Tea. Just from the first sip you could tell the tea is very traditional. It is not very sweet but has the natural sweetness from the fresh fruit included. The drink was great but I'm giving such a low rating because of the customer service. I was never greeted when I walked up to the register. While I was ordering and trying to pay, the long-haired male cashier wasn't even paying attention to me. He was looking at his cell phone. Also, when he was asking me for my sugar and ice level, he was mumbling through the microphone. I couldn't understand him at all. I had a bunch of coins in my hand wanting to pay the exact amount, but he went ahead and just processed my whole bill. Had he been paying attention, he would have seen me trying to hand him my coins. The whole cashier experience really ruined my mood. Other than that, the tea staff were nice to me when they handed me my drink. Maybe i'll come back again in the future to give it another chance but I won't be back for awhile.

I love this place. Their flavors are quite unique and interesting. They consistently get my order right. I really like the lemon green tea with jelly :) their plum tea and fruit teas are yummy too.

What Yi Fang does best for non-sweet lovers is that their sugar content seems to be lower than other boba spot. The tea comes out much strong. If you get one of the macchiatos, the sugar content is in the milk foam and not in the tea. So if you drink it with a straw, it can taste like a 0% sugar level. If you drink it without a straw and like how you would with a regular macchiato, then the sugar will be mixed with the tea. I got a taste of a 30% sugar level. This place is way more spacious than the Duluth location, and it would have been a place I would have loved to hang out with friends prior to COVID. They have better quality furniture than other boba spots and even have a conference room. The Duluth location requires masks, but this location does not. None of the staff do.

There hand are so inconsistent with the drinks sometimes they make really good drink and I love it but sometimes they just for some reason messed up the drink so badly And I have to throw it all away (4 drinks) whenever they messed up, wastes of money and time. I still like the place but it’s not okay especially when I always get a bunch of drinks when I come. You guys should fix this because you make me question myself whether should I come to YiFang or other tea places just because go to your shop feel like gambling when other tea places they will always give me a consistent quality.

I have an Lugu oolong tea and I'll be honest, how the heck does it even get to the popular entry? It taste like the oolong tea I brew at home and put some ice into it... yeah, I admit that I did not put full sugar and only half but I didn't know that it could just taste so "normal." I think I'll return and give it a second try for their fruit tea.

GET THE FRUIT TEA!!! I was debating between the Yi Fang's namesake fruit tea and the brown sugar boba. Ultimately, I decided to get the fruit tea since I can customize sweetness and ice level; whereas, brown sugar boba cannot be customized at all. At 30% sweetness level, fruit tea was good enough for me since I also added aiyu jelly and no ice. I imagine if there's ice, I would get higher sweetness level. Drink had plenty of fresh fruit including the passion fruit...tasted fresh and none of the overly fake fruit syrupy flavor. Other drinks ordered in our group include - pineapple green tea, passion fruit and brown sugar boba latte. All good except the boba latte had a weird texture - almost slimy. Caution - drinks are more sweet here than other tea houses. I am glad I adjusted to less sweetness level than my normal level. Restaurant was super cute and clean...they even have a "private room" very much like the Japanese or Korean restaurants. Bonus - free item/drink when you sign up for rewards.
