Came here on a Friday for lunch. It was pretty quiet, and the one waitress was super friendly. She suggested getting the Jeow bong wings with the sauce on the side so I could try the wings both plain and dressed. She was right. They were really good plain - so insanely crispy! The sauce was delicious too so you really can't go wrong. The papaya salad was tasty, but extremely spicy even at "medium". I only took a few bites and couldn't eat much more the next day at home either. The sticky rice seems to be a Laotian comfort food, but it didn't do much for me. I will go back to try other things along with the wings. They get an extra star because I've never heard of a Laotian restaurants, even in New York. I hope they stay popular and increase their menu.

I have eaten Thai food many times, but this was my first try for Laotian food and glad I did. I ordered Lao Platter for $38. It’s a combination of the most popular food with 2 sweet rice. This order is big enough for 2-3 people. Warning! Laotian food can be very spicy so if you share the food with other people, make it least spicy and get side fresh peppers for someone who loves extra fire! ?I enjoyed all the food and will go back again.

Snack Box Bistro was an incredible experience. restaurant specializes in Laos cuisine, and they truly deliver on authenticity and flavor.we ordered the sticky rice, which was perfectly cooked and had a delightful texture. It was served with a side of fried pork cutlet that was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The combination of the sticky rice and the pork cutlet was a match made in heaven.Next, the papaya salad, and it was a burst of flavors. The freshness of the papaya combined with the tangy dressing created a refreshing and zesty dish. It had just the right amount of spice, adding an extra kick to each bite.the Laos fried rice. It was a mouthwatering blend of fragrant rice, vegetables, and perfectly seasoned meat. The flavors were well-balanced, and every bite was a delight. The portion size was generous, leaving us satisfied and content. The service at Snack Box Bistro was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to answer our questions and make recommendations.Overall, Snack Box Bistro exceeded our expectations. The quality of the food, the friendly service, and the inviting atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Laos cuisine. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu.

Fantastic food and service! The tofu in the salad and Laap was perfection. Their fish sauce was an absolutely hit with the husband. Perfect sticky rice and their fermented foods are out of this world! Don't sleep on this place.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating.

Dine-in Saturday 8/12/23 8:12pI enjoyed a delightful dining experience at this hidden gem of a restaurant on a Saturday evening. Conveniently located at the end of a strip mall, the restaurant offers ample parking space which is a huge plus.As soon as I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, who promptly showed me to my table. The decor of the restaurant is elegantly simple and modern, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. They offer both QR code and physical menus, catering to all preferences.Unlike my usual dining outings, this time I decided to order just one dish - the Lao Platter. This dish offers a diverse combination of items, among which several stood out. For instance, the traditional papaya salad boasted a delightfully crunchy texture and a perfect balance of spicy, salty, sweet, and sour flavors that tantalized my taste buds. The Larb, a dish of minced chicken flavored with fresh onions and herbs, was elevated by the taste of toasted rice, adding a nutty and toasty dimension to the dish. The platter also included a Vietnamese ham that was expertly deep-fried to achieve a crunchy exterior and a chewy, soft interior. Each component of the platter was delicious and added its unique twist.I was also pleased to find that they offer payment via QR code, making the checkout process incredibly convenient. You can just scan and pay instantly at your fingertips, though they also accept credit cards and cash for those who prefer traditional payment methods. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was clean and bright, with modern decor that added to its charm. The staff was attentive and helpful with my order, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was flavorful, successfully capturing the traditional Laotian essence.
