We are regulars at this spot but recently we had an absolutely delightful experience at this Korean restaurant! The servers were incredibly attentive, providing the most attentive service we've ever received at a restaurant. The food was not only delicious but also generously portioned, and they didn't skimp on the banchan, offering a delightful variety of side dishes that complemented the meal perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great sundubu (tofu stew) with outstanding service and mouthwatering Korean side dishes.

Mediocre food. They might be reserving old food. Won't be coming back due to terrible customer service. I'd rather take my money and go to another place in Duluth.I had a good experience at the location in Suwannee, and since I was already in the area, I thought I'd give this location a try. Bad idea.My family of 5 dined in and we began ordering. One of my family members requested a Hot Stone Bibimbap but with an over easy egg on top instead of the fried eggs (we were willing to pay extra if needed). Our waiter, an older korean man started yelling "No" repeatedly at her and would interrupt us when we tried to explain to him what we wanted (we considered the language barrier, we thought he didn't understand what we meant). It was a very rude interaction and took us all aback but we did not dwell too much on it.At the end of our meal, we decided to-go the food we didn't finish. Typically at places such as Tofu House and Jang Su Sang, even the other location of So Gong Dong, you are able to to-go the side dishes you paid for. The same man said we could not and that it's the same at other places like this as well. My family could not understand why.. we paid for this! Where else was this food going to go anyways? Are they reserving our leftovers? This man continued to GLARE and SURVEILLANCE our table to make sure we didn't put the side dishes in our to-go box. He stood at the end of our table at one point to watch us. It was very uncomfortable.Besides that, the food is the same quality at other places. Kimchi tastes sour and old. I suggest you skip the uncomfortable atmosphere and eat elsewhere.

The service was awful. They were unkind and made us feel very uncomfortable. The guy, possibly the owner, was super rushed and very rude. The food was not as good as the other locations. I would never recommend this location to anyone. Please beware.

A restaurant I visited over the weekend while on a business trip to the US.The owner is friendly and the food tastes better than most Korean restaurants. After paying, you can choose between tip 18, 20, or 22 and sign it on the receipt.Vegetarian options: If you choose vegetables from the menu, it becomes a menu that even vegetarians can eat.Parking: There is a lot of parking space in front.

Great portions, affordable, lowkey and fast service! Perfect for those savory spicy soup cravings in the winter. Their limited menu means they come out quickly and are always tasty. I like that they have the noodle versions of the tofu soup, which I don't see too often at other soondubu restaurants.

Did a takeout with seafood tofu regular and beef ribs, 30$+. The soup had a funny taste, at this point, I was getting little worried that it was not going to be a good meal. The shrimps were not fresh at all. The worst came when I tried the rib. OMG, they were literally like chewing old rubber with bits of bones here and there. I almost broke my front tooth. Absolutely a disgusting and painful meal I ever had. FYI, I don’t write reviews but I had to so that you make sure you avoid this horrible place.

I frequently dine at various So Gong Dong locations for their 순두부, and my expectations are typically high due to consistently great experiences. However, this particular location didn't quite meet my usual standards for a few reasons.Firstly, the soup base seemed rather plain compared to what I've encountered at other So Gong Dong branches. This sentiment was echoed by a friend who joined me for lunch. Moreover, they opted to leave the air conditioning off, choosing to keep the front entrance door open instead. With an outside temperature exceeding 70°F, I found myself sweating while trying to enjoy a hot tofu dish. My friend shared the same discomfort. If the owner's intent was to save on the electricity bill, it may not have been the best decision. Lastly, the service was only mediocre. Until the time to bring the check arrived, our waitress didn't check in on our satisfaction, a courtesy I usually experience at other So Gong Dong locations. Despite it being during the lunch rush, the restaurant wasn't particularly crowded at the time.

My friends and I came to try SGD after a visit to Spaland. For some reason after going to the Korean spa, I only want to eat Korean food! SGD has a comprehensive menu for a tofu house, and you can get their tofu soup with various types of noodles, too. They also have varieties of SDB that you might not see at every tofu house, such as soup with fish roe (not big popping roe, it's the sacs of small roe) or intestines. The banchan are pretty good and seemingly unlimited here, with a good variety. It isn't the *best* kimchi I've ever had but is solid. The tofu soup is delicious, and if you get it with the noodles it is solidly a two-meal size portion. Definitely take some home for snack later or lunch the next day, it keeps well.
