The ambiance is more American. The food is not bad, but for me, it doesn't seem to be really authentic Korean. It seems like they tried to have a similar taste, but it seems a bit lacking. Service is excellent!

I was happy to meet an old friend here today for lunch and had one of the lunch specials from their extensive menu. They have like 20 or 30 items tagged as lunch specials. I had a simple and delicious pork sundobu. Since I just started the Paleo diet a week and a half ago, I skipped eating the rice and sundobu was perfectly spicey and heartwarming on a cool weekday. Last time I was here three months ago, I know this restaurant has a reputation for great donkatsu served on a huge plate. Imagine a legal size pad of paper, which I think is 8 1/2 x 14", but deliciously breaded pork cutlet. But, today I didn't have a huge appetite, so I went with a smaller lunch special.

If you love Korean Food, this is a must try! It's delicious & very authentic. The restaurant itself is not a big place, but the foods flavor is gigantic! The ambiance is cozy and authentic. The wait staff most speak Korean. They are all super nice and welcoming. My favorite thing to do at this restaurant is to bring a few friends and order 3 or 4 dishes and share. Everything is so good, that you will for sure want to try way more than one thing. The stone bowl soups are insanely delicious and arrive at your table hot and bubbling. The pork katsu is phenomenal. I haven't tried anything at this restaurant that I did not like. I highly recommend!!!

A family operated authentic restaurant with delicious food. Each time my family and friends come here, the food and service is outstanding. The menu has home style favorites as well as the snacking things you want when you have a craving for casual Korean. I have had issues in the past with some in the Korean community who tend to deliver poor service because I do not speak the language (Korean adoptee) or are very rude to my family (married to an African American with three biracial kids), but this is one place where I feel they are progressing to at least put service ahead of any historical baggage from old ways/biases. It is truly a pleasure each and every time I go to this restaurant and hope others will give it a try and frequent the spot. Hands down crunchiest Donkatsu in the metro.

I ordered the pork cutlets upon hearing that it was their most popular item. The portion size is very large, and it tastes just like how it would be made in Korea. They also serve banchan which consists of kimchi, bean sprouts, and other pickled veggies. My friend ordered the budae jjigae, and he loved it. It was spicy and hearty with a lot of meat and other ingredients.

Everything I've had so far has been delicious! I keep going back to try other items on the menu. Friendly, helpful, and attentive staff. Casual ambiance.

Despite my bad 1st experience here, I decided to return...to see if their much-touted Donkatsu lives up to the hype. I arrived super-early for lunch (11 am?), so was able to slide right in. As anticipated, I ordered their king-sized pork cutlets (AKA "Wang Donkatsu)...and WOAH, this was indeed a king-sized platter. HUGE!! Also, it came with a uniquely zesty house sauce/glaze.The verdict? Yep...it truly lived up to the hype! Not only incredibly generous in size (and value priced, considering the size, plus all the sides!), it was truly amazing! Possibly one of the best Katsu dishes I've ever had?? This is a very quaint, mom 'n pops Korean restaurant...very popular with the locals. Their menu is awesome...and the foods are 100% legit. However, if I recall correctly, I felt "K-snobbed" on my 1st visit lol, so this time I tried my best to speak Korean (though my Korean is laughably bad!)...and I didn't even have to ask for a fork this time. They placed both fork and knife on the table!!! WOW. For that, I tipped them 25%. More and more, I noticed how most Asian restaurants are trying to skimp on placing forks on the table...even when we need it! Pet peeve, I guess? Really, the service was MUCH better this time around. I remember being really impressed with the foods here, despite the bad service on my first visit years ago...so I've been wanting to give them another try, and am SO glad I did!! Anyway, I was able to eat nearly half of the gigantic dish (btw, my dish looked MUCH more impressive in person than in pictures)...and doggy-bagged the rest for my husband (he loved it!). Totally worth ordering the king-sized plate!

Ordered the very hot spicy tonkatsu, galbi tang and budae jjigae. All of the food very pretty tasty. The tonkatsu was humongous, but it wasn't my favorite as there was a lot of breading on it. The flavor was very good though! It said very spicy and I thought it was a good spice. I loved that they gave some cold noodle soup on the side and the macaroni side dish. It was a good addition for my friends who cannot handle the spice. The galbi tang was hearty and warm and I loved the egg in it. It also came with tho bones full of meat. The budae jjigae also had a great flavor to it and came with lots of meat and veggies. Love that it also came with sweet potato noodle! All the side dishes here were great and the server refilled it for us as well. Overall, a good place to come for home style Korean meals. The cold noodles here are also my favorite ! ( not pictured). The parking lot has plentiful space and I would be back.

Pretty solid Korean food! We ordered the kimchi soup with tuna and the spicy kimchi pork. Both were quite tasty and not too spicy (I eat Korean pretty often and have a high spice tolerance though). The kimchi soup came with a fried egg on the side which was a nice surprise. I also tried some of my brothers tteok mandu guk (sliced rice cake and dumpling soup) which was also good. The broths in both soup dishes were flavored well. My only complaint is that service wasn't the best. Also, I wish they had a larger variety of side dishes and there was hardly any tuna in the soup (and the tiny bit that was in the soup was from a can). Ambiance is fine- not the most spectacularly decorated restaurant but the food is good enough that I would come back. I will definitely be returning to try the fried pork cutlet!

My family went to A-Hyang for the 1st time on Saturday (October 21). My daughter was recommended it by her co-students (Graduate school). My husband wanted Authentic Koren food. I would say that he got his Authentic Koren food. The food was FABULOUS and AUTHENTIC. For Appetizer, we had Fish cakes, Kimchi, jelly, seaweed, pork bits, and Fried dumplings. The Fried Dumpings was the best (I order extra to take home). My husband, daughter, and I had Bulgogi Dolsot Bibmbab (WAS A LOT Need to share), my son had Chicken Jaeyuk Dolsot Bibmbab (Need to share). The services were the Best & TOP, FRIENDLY, & FAMILY ORIENTED. We will be going back there again. I highly recommended the A-Hyang restaurant for relaxation, get together, or after work.

The owner is a master of delicious banchan. She’s very sweet, caring and knowledgeable on the variety of items she has.Everything is handmade to perfection and she takes great pride in her cooking. One time, she was not satisfied with her creation, so she made brand new banchan for us, because she wanted us to have her best. For the pregnant moms out there, if you’d like her to pre-prep items for you, she can do that. Just ask and she’ll be happy to work something out with you.Needless to say, this is our go-to place for all our banchan needs!

Ordered "to go" Donkatsu but no meat at all. As other comments said coating is over cooked and batter is uncooked So disappointed. They have changed a lot. Can't believe this is $16. It is a way better choice to eat this menu at Food Court.
