“Tried this place for the first time today. It is an order at the counter and fix your own drink kind of place, with your food brought to the table via a number you get when you pay after ordering. Friendly (newer) owner, original owner sold it to her back in April 2023. I had a Cuban omelet sandwich and it was very good. I recommend this place for something unique and also because I love small locally owned type places if they are friendly and have good food, and they have both!“

“We got into town and saw Cartecay and decided to give it a try! The pizza was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. It was thin, crunchy, and quite tasty. Our only complaint was the price, as we got two large pizzas for almost $50 and even picked it up! Other than that, we loved it and was actually worth the price!“

“We came here for spring break and had our Labrador. They have a porch where you can bring your dog. They welcomed us with menus and had a bowl of water with a treat. We felt very welcomed. The food was delicious ? Can't wait to come back!“

“I cannot believe I’ve lived in this area for so long and today was my first visit to this place. Holy Moly! IT’s everything you want and nothing you don’t. Fresh, delicious food, excellent service, and sane pricing! I’ll be back…OFTEN.“
“What a beautiful place! Amazing setting for a winery and for many kinds of events. The only reason for the 4 stars that walk down to the venue was steep and rough for my wife and I. The staff was amazing, a gentleman was wheelchair bound while we were there, and the staff assisted the family to and from. They are building a new tasting room and event hall, which would eliminate the steep walk if need be.The studio tasting flight was the best. The wines are so amazingly fresh looking, the cleanest look to a wine I have ever seen for white and red wines. My wife selected 4 of her own, mostly whites. We ended up purchasing a couple that she tasted. There are not many words that could describe the entire experience as it was just breathtaking as an entire experience. We will definitely return.“

“We were visiting from Florida and stumbled across this gem. BEST biscuit sandwiches we've ever had, anywhere!! You could tell the biscuits were handmade and fresh. Friendly staff, seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Without a doubt add this place to your must visit while here.“

“Choices of food are great. My family tend to stay with our 'first love' food, Thai Chicken Curry. The build your own poke option is a must try. Kids can order plain ramen with chicken broth, which is super. Bottled water and canned soda or choices of bubble teas for drink. Prices are a bit high, however to me, worth it since one won't get this kind of food within any 10-20miles from Ellijay.“

“Ellijay Wood Fire Pizza was my favorite place to eat during a recent visit to Ellijay, Georgia. We loved it so much we went twice for dinner. It is a cute little restaurant across from Ellijay's Square. I loved the cozy local vibe and excellent hospitality. Let's talk about the menu. We ordered Gilmer County's Best Meatball Parma for an appetizer, which was delicious. The cheese and sauce were the perfect complement. The marinara sauce wasn't too sweet or acidic. For the pizzas, we tried the El Greco (anchovy, caper, kalamata, olives, crushed tomato, onion, mozzarella, provolone) and the make your own, which in the menu is listed as New York Style Cheese and added different toppings. The crust and the sauce were the stars of the night; as mentioned before, the marinara wasn't too sweet or acidic. If you are in the area, I highly recommend eating at Ellijay Wood Fire Pizza. The place is small, so there may be a wait during peak hours. Also, it can get warm indoors, due to the wood fire oven.“

“Ended up at Boardwalk because the restaurant we were going to eat at had an hour and a half wait. The interior is reminiscent of your favorite local dive bar but the beer is cold and the pizza is good. Staff was friendly and they got our pizza out to us quick even though they had a steady stream of to go orders.“
