The food is really good. I gave a 3 star because no mask is worn serving the food. In the times we are in when talking over food a mask should be worn.

Babae, that chicken was phenomenal!! It was hot and fresh; had some herbs and spices all over it! Just good chicken, Honey! Now them sides were just okay. The Mac and cheese needed more cheese and something to hold it together better. The noodles were too soft for me. The greens were good but a bit salty. He had a lot of other options so I will be back to check them out. Definitely worth visiting for the chicken alone! The staff was nice as well.

I've known this place before it was known as Mike's Cafe and it was a Vietnamese Restaurant. Well the food here is nice and so are the staff as well as the place itself, also this is a great alternative restaurant to go if your not willing to go to a cafeteria far away.

I stopped by on my way to work and got a to go plate of mac & cheese, fried fish, cabbage and cornbread. It takes me an hour to get to work, so when I got settled and opened by container of food, it was still hot and so delicious. I was making sounds that it was so delicious, a co-worker got up to see what I was raving about.I will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful food.

I'm from Albany, NY and visited Alanta Georgia last Friday and the hotel I was in was right across the street from Mike's Cafeteria. The food was delicious. It was so good I eat from there three days ?. I would highly recommend it. Thank you

Like most people, I stumbled upon this place. I was dying for some breakfast so I popped in thinking they would have breakfast. But it was at the end of the 10 o'clock hour and they had started serving lunch. So I figured why not get some great veggies. Everything looked like I had just been brought out which was good so I was catching it fresh. The mashed potatoes tasted real with chunks of potatoes here and there. The green beans were ok. Soulfood/southern green beans tend to be over cooked in my opinion. My personal preference is for them not to be as limp or soft. I'd say what set the score down is this okra corn and stewed tomatoes. It tasted like straight up ketchup. No matter how many times I tried to close my eyes and put a new fork-full in my mouth, I just felt like I was eating a bottle of Heinz ketchup. It wasn't even tomatoey, it was literally Ketchup. That's unfortunate because it looked pretty fresh and I was excited to try it. Definitely need to go back to the drawing board with that dish. Perhaps one might have better luck with the meat. There seem to be a lot of variety with meat. Otherwise, the establishment was relatively clean and set up cafeteria style. The people behind the counter were friendly. It's right outside of the city so employees aren't wearing masks but they do have a sign up requiring patrons to wear masks although that isn't followed.

Great Southern-style soul food and exceptionally nice people, too. They have at lunch a cafeteria-style approach with a choice of one meat and two sides plus corn bread or a dinner roll and drink for the more-than-fair price of $11.78. I mean, really, it's a whale of a deal. Actually, they may have even included the tip I left them, I'm not sure. It was, after Atlanta prices, just a wonderfully good deal in any event. When I visited there were about four choices of the meat/main dish: I believe fried fish, fried chicken, maybe pork chops, and the sausage and cabbage I got. For the sides, there were around eight or ten choices, quite a few in any case. I had the succotash which was nicely spicy and served over a small amount of white rice plus the collard greens which were expertly cooked. The sausage and cabbage was very good as well. As was the cornbread. Indeed, in no sense was anything at all lacking or amiss. Everything was excellent. This place is nothing fancy, make no mistake. But it doesn't need to be: it's perfect down-home food and very nice folks. It's exactly what it claims to be, what you'd hope to find if seeking Southern food in Georgia. I highly recommend it all.
