We had seen the sign for several months before deciding to stop. I ordered the Hog Wallar Grilled Cheese Plate. My wife ordered the 2 piece Catfish. Everything was freshly prepared and took a short while to come out, but was well worth the wait. Great prices and large portions. This location is highly recommended!
We love supporting local, and these folks were working hard. In this little town of about 300 is this cute little place. It is country decor and perfect. It might take awhile to get your food, but that is an indicator that they're actually cooking it. I had some of THE BEST fried pickles. I'm very picky about my Brunswick stew and theirs is good AND it came out nice and hot. My husband had the country fried steak sandwich, and he said he'd order it again. In my opinion, most menu items are subpar since they are not acclimated to my palate, but I really enjoy their homemade biscuits! They are the epitome of Southern comfort food: warm, cheesy, melty, and, most importantly, made with love and crafted by local hands! The staff is always pleasant and treats you like family.
