I would like to say I manage a election precinct here in Gainesville, Georgia and on election day I ordered lunch for election workers/clerks. Johnny's barbecue provided the lunch for us. We had ribs, smoked wings, pulled pork and chicken. With all the fixings. And I can say for certain!! The food arrived hot, seasoned and perfect to my order. Everything was really great, 5 stars all the way.... stunning, thank you,Johnny's

First time coming here and the food did more than I expected, they've got a very delicious selection between pork, beef and chicken. They've also got a pretty enjoyable sweet tea, if you're looking for a friendly atmosphere and good food. This is the place to be at.

The prices have gott n ridiculous high, barely any pork on the sandwich. I also got a plate, by the time I got home the BBQ sauce they loosely threw in the container had drenched everything in the container. Asked for a cup of hot BBQ sauce and it was horrible. I will not be returning.

Long time established bbq restaurant in Gainesville. Nothing fancy, no table service. Prices have increased but still decent serving sizes.
It's on the "Georgia BBQ Trail"! Excellent ribs and well-cooked pork. (I prefer to add a different bbq sauce, though.) Don't miss the bbq beans and banana pudding... They are *especially* superb!!

We got there kinda late and offered to get the food to go. The staff were very welcoming and encouraged us to dine in, letting us know we had plenty of time before they were going to be ready to close. The food was outstanding, went in on a mission to try the Brunswick Stew (coworker said it was the best in Gainesville, and they weren't lying!) Wound up getting a pork sandwich to eat there and took a few quarts of the stew to go. I can't wait to go back and try the family special, the beans, slaw, chicken, and brisket.
Not a fan. I got the lunch plate. The portions were good but the pork was dry and unseasoned, the sauces lacking in flavor so what should have been the star of the meal was disappointing. The slaw was pretty good and the beans okay but the half of bun smeared with butter puzzled me. Was charged 35 cents for tap water. The tv was being used to show taped commercials for local businesses. There was no service, just a counter to order and no employee came to your table. The whole feeling of the place had a stingy atmosphere, not welcoming and just trying to make an extra buck out of the customers any way it could. Will not be back.
Great folks, great food, great atmosphere! Bradley is super amazing also. He is such a kind helpful young man. I know that his daddy is proud of him!
