If you want to experience the best ice cream around the Athens area then drive to La Michoacana. Every time I’m in the area I always make a point to stop to enjoy their ice cream. It’s definitely worth the drive but just be ready that sometimes the line is out the door!Parking: Parking is very limited at times.

Worth the drive! They have ice cream flavors you're not going to find anywhere else. Pine nut is my favorite and mamey is a close second. I took a few different flavors to a dinner party with foodies/chefs in attendance and everyone was IN LOVE!
